We went to Wat Pra Sorn Kaew on Wednesday. The temple was not crowded. The statue was amazing. The arts at temple were beautiful. You could walk up to top balcony at the opposite building to have the great views of the area. Recommended.

It's kind of Middle East feel when you first step into the temple. So colorful of the decorating by embracing the colorful marbles and glasses into the walk way, stair steps, wall, everywhere. So artistic the founder

Although very crowded due to popularity and a Bank holiday weekend, this temple visit was well worth it and it remains to be the one of the most impressive temple visits we have yet experienced in Thailand. The magnificent temple stands proudly on the cliff top surrounded by the 1200m peaks. The temple overlooks the tremendous valley and can hardly... More

The temple exterior is well decorated, colorful and unique! I like how they decorated the wall with colorful broken plates, jugs, and stones. FYI: Try not to wear shorts or short skirt, and you need to take your shoes off before entering the temple area.

Several km off of route 12 between Phitsanulok and Khon Kaen high in the mountains is this extraordinary Wat. The air and area has a more alpine feel to it - but the temple and surrounding buildings would fit into Gaudi's Barcelona. The whole area has parking ( with a small charge) . No other costs are involved. The area... More

Don't miss this place. It is the beautiful, quaint and very unique Buddha image. I never seen any buddha image like this. Another side, the temple is also unique, walls are fragmented with small funny tiles. Good view is an extra bonus.

The crowds were enormous during the public holidays, so we didn't go inside the temples. The vivid colours, buildings styles and shapes reminded me of Gaudi. There are great views from the roadside and the numerous little restaurants and coffee shops on the hill.

Excellent views from the temple, prepared to take off your shoes and leave it at the temple entrance. Majestic Buddha statue

The temple's two main buildings have an interesting architectural mix. However, to me the biggest attraction was the views. From this hill top, one could see Phu Ruea and well as Phu Ta Boerk. There are two access roads from highway 12 - both are narrow.
