Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An amazing experience with nice humans and 51 sweet doggies. A little bit of exercise is required, but the whole thing is something you will never forget. The animals are well taken care of and seemed to enjoy it as thoroughly as us. Oh, and 4.5 stars on the soup!

I so loved doing this. I went out with June as our guide in the led sledge. She gave clear instructions, had an excellent bond with the dogs and made us feel safe. There were two 2 man sleds. I was travelling solo and they matched me up with a group of three so were were all able to go out.

I was initially a passenger and then a musher. We had Apache, Mohawk, Dosan, Arctic, Skidoo and Simba puling is. The dogs were incredibly affectionate when we greeted them. They jumped up a little but also warmly received stokes and hugs and belly rubs. They were amazing on the trip and whilst it was a little hard on the bottom over some of the bumps as a passenger and a little tricky up the hill and in deep snow as a musher there was nothing I would change.

It was a little cold over the lake - I recommend taking the jumpsuits offers, both as protection from the dogs jumping up and licks of affection and also for the cold.

If you get the chance - do it! I hope you will not be disappointed. I was not!!

This was an absolute highlight for every single person in my family. When we got on the plane to go home, I asked everybody the question “if you could do one thing again what would it be?” and all of us agreed it was dog sledding. If you’re not in great shape, it may not be for you. My husband and I are in our mid 50s and we can walk up and down hills in deep snow, so we were fine, but you do have to help harness the dogs and unharness the dogs, and walk up and down snowy hills, so keep that in mind- and if you don’t like the smell of dogs, you probably won’t like it. But otherwise, it is 100% totally worth the long bus ride from Oslo. The dogs love it in a way I could not have imagined. The views are spectacular. The hour and a half felt like it was about 5 minutes, and as we crossed the frozen lake, I absolutely could not believe how lucky I felt to be alive. It’s a little scary when you first start, but in just a minute or two you figure out what you’re doing and you’re driving a sled of huskies and flying through deep snow. We were super lucky and that it was snowing and picturesque and amazing, and breathtaking and thrilling…
It’s also right at the ski resort, so we had a fabulous meal when we were done up at the resort. Beito Huskies do take you into a cool yurt for a meal when you’re all done and the dogs are back in their spots, but it turns out Reindeer meat is not something that I ever need to put in my mouth again, although it added to the adventure!
They supply you with boots and snow suits, and anything you might need, so you don’t have to worry about hauling all of it to Norway. (But keep in mind that it is a zip up suit and not a fashion show.)
The other very notable thing, that I really appreciated: my husband left his wallet in his snowsuit! We thought for sure it was gone for good, but they have bent over backwards to find it, and mail it to us in United States. They were super responsive, they’ve answered every question I had before, and after the trip and they made it really easy. Everybody there was super professional, they take their job seriously and made me feel safe and they clearly love the animals. I can’t say enough about this adventure!

Amazing 4 day expedition with the wonderful guide Mariska. Very different and naturalistic experience where you work to take of the dogs and care for your self. We recommend Mariska as the perfect guide.

Beito Husky are amazing and this was the most incredible trip we have ever done!

The combination of the beautiful scenery in the mountains, dog sledding, and general "back to basics" lifestyle (e.g. using a wood fire for heating and melting snow for drinking water) was the perfect way to create a real sense of adventure, which at times made you feel like an intrepid explorer.

Becky was exceptional as our guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and her enthusiasm and passion for dog sledding (and the dogs) was infectious.

We created such a bond with both Becky and our pack of furry friends and hope to be back again in the not too distant future.

If you haven't been dog sledding before, go. If you have been dog sledding before, go again - with Beito Husky!

So this was a Bucket list thing to do ever since I was a child, and now ?I'm engaged and with a 5 year old child I wanted to show her the experience. Good communication from the booking team beforehand and a friendly welcome on arrival. They provides heavy winter suits and boots and a good safety briefing. There's a 300 metres walk down a snowy lane to the kennels but they provided a sledge to pull our 5 year old daughter. You have to take each eager husky from their kennel, bond with it and they tether them with 4-5 others to your sleigh. It's quite a hard start to the journey up a small hill and you have to push the sleigh to help the huskies. A fun 2 hours of driving them 12KM through the frozen wilderness and back to the start where you get hot drinks and biscuits in a cabin. Friendly staff were great

Absolutely fantastic couple of days with the Beito team.
Full day sledding with Jytte, a very experienced and great guide. Awesome feeling being trusted with your own team of dogs.
Then after staying in one of the rustic huts, sauna of course too, a day on the ice covered lake, fishing with Melanie. Snowshoes to help you on your way across the snow and ice to auger your very own fishing hole.
Superb traditional lunches cooked mid experience by the guides. This was a very memorable experience. Memories made and merchandise purchased!
Thanks guys.

We had THE BEST time. Our tour guide (who we think was Becky) was great- very passionate, knowledgeable and funny. Dogs are well looked after and super friendly. What we really liked about the tour was the fact it was so hands on (e.g. getting the dogs prepared etc). It was our favourite activity in Norway and absolutely want to return to do one of the longer adventures in the future. Would recommend to anyone.
