This is one of the places that must be on the priority list! It is astonishing! The best way is to go with hydrofoil and if you have the St.Petersbourg Card, you will get one way for free and for the return ticket, 200 RUB less of the total price of the ticket. The grand palace must be visited and... More

The lavishness and beauty of these summer palace grounds are not to be missed. There is a lot of walking, but the views are spectacular. Beware of pickpockets!

Worth the short trip from St. Petersburg. We went early to beat the crowds and only had to pay once for both a tour of the palace and gardens. Negatives are no photography in the palace and they keep you moving. The fountains are turned on at 11am and are fantastic, especially when you consider there are no pumps. Beware... More

This is one smazin engineering feat, especially considering when it was done. Gravity fed, the 100+ fountains are a delight on a sunny day, especually with the gold domes as a background. It is a big place and requires a lot of walking but it is worth the effort.

Expensive rip off. Firstly I arrived by boat from the city which was nice. Upon arrival at the Peterhof jetty we paid our entry fee and then walked to the Palace through nice gardens. Then we were required to pay again to enter the building which we did. After a tour of some lovely rooms where no photography was permitted... More

Had a great Viking shore excursion tour of Peterson Palace and Gardens. The palace was beautiful, but I was disappointed that we were not allowed to take pictures. The gardens were magnificent. There is a series of fountains that align with music. We had quite a bit of time to walk in the gardens, and we went all the way... More

The summer palace of Peter the Great is absolutely beautiful and we only saw the outside of the palace as it was closed for a holiday. The grounds are well maintained and grande.

This is a remarkable and well restored attraction. The main central fountains with their numerous gilt statues are a sight to behold on a sunny day. The palace itself, much smaller than the Winter Palace/Hermitage in St P, has some beautiful rooms with oodles of gilt and glass - opulence personified - with less people there was a calmer atmosphere...
