Once a formal garden built for Peter the Great, this popular park still has more than 80 of the original marble statues and sculptures and houses Peter's Summer Palace, a simply designed two-story building that now displays many of the ruler's own artifacts.

Everything you've read about is true- over the top splendor that is magnificent and vulgar at the same time, having been built on the suffering of the populace at the time. Nevertheless, it is a wonder to behold..

I like to spent a day in Grand Palace. The Palace was so spectacular and also known as Russian Versailles. The garden is so beautiful. I visited the Palace on the summer so it was so crowded and couldn't find quiet place to relax or take a photo freely :).

Another of the absolute "Must See" places to visit when in Russia, or anywhere for that matter. Opulent and perhaps slightly over the top with gold statues but really amazing palace.

The place is fantastic, the fountain is unbelievable. A must see for sure. Plan your visit here and make sure you visit this no matter what. And while taking tickets take tickets for both upper and lower garden area.

A place one would never forget since it's more impressive than Versaille - especially with the garden fountaines.

Peterhof amazed us with its beauty and scale! Fountains are very pretty! We stayed in the area for the whole day. My wife and I really enjoyed.
