We visitid Mon Plaisir when we visited the Peterhof gardens. It was a very big surprise. The setting, the palace itself surrounded by beautiful gardens with beautiful flowers and fountains. Nice were the very beautiful details which reminded me of Holland, the country Czaar Peter...More

One of the highlights of our day at Peterhof was Monplaisir Palace. It was Peter's favorite too. Much smaller and intimate, this was Peter came to get away from the Grand Palace.

Monplaisir Historical Palace is very beautiful. It's extremely well maintained, the gardens and you will just fall in love with it. A must see.

We really enjoyed this museum, it gives you a real indication of how the royal family lived ( in a more modest version of the main palace)

Although we did not go in on our tour, it was very impressive from the exterior. To understand that Peter The Great designed it was really awesome. He also love tricking his guest with fountains that sprayed them when seated in nice and quiet places....More
