About
The Wild Bushcraft Company provides fully immersive outdoor experiences like no other. Just imagine escaping deep into the woods for the weekend, sleeping under canvas, cooking over campfires and being completely absorbed in learning a new skill - be that fire lighting, knife making, bow-making or venison butchery. We are really big on food, and meat in particular. We are experts in deer stalking and offer the only course in the UK where you can learn how to butcher and cook your own venison - the popular Stalk to Fork experience. We can make the experience as fun and accessible as you want it to be - we cater for individuals, couples, families, stag and hen parties and corporate groups. You tell us what you want to get of your time with us and we will craft an experience you will never forget. We are based in North Wales but operate across the UK all year round.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a great time doing the Whole Of The Deer with Jamie and Ed. Almost ready for the Zombie Apocalypse now. Certainly an experience everyone should try.

Where to begin?! Jamie, Charles and Adam were all warm, knowledgeable, welcoming and just really fantastically kind. My husband and I booked a private session and walked away not only with a freezer full of venison we’d learned to butcher ourselves after stalking, but genuine joy in our hearts and an ample dose of warm and fuzzies. Jamie is a natural teacher and an apt custodian of this way of life. Thank you for sharing it so generously with us, we look forward to seeing you again soon!!

Jamie and Adam who ran our Bush craft level 2 training are both amazing at what they do. They go above and beyond and go into great detail in all aspects of the course. I learnt so much from them both. You can tell they have done this for a long time. We’ll be back soon for our assessment. Can’t wait to see them both and show them my friction fire lighting!!
Bring it on! ;)

Thanks again.

These guys know their stuff and deliver courses in an accessible, informative and fun way.

From the moment I tipped up it felt like I was with a group of friends, even though I had never met the instructors or other students before. This is owed to the relaxed and friendly atmosphere that the instructors cultivate and made the whole experience all the more better. I wasn't there to make friends, but it was a nice biproduct.

The course itself was taught at the perfect tempo. The weather was against us and it would have been easy for heads to dip, but the instructors Jamie and Adam knew how to read the crowd and adapted accordingly to keep the group engaged and learning.

The delivery of the course and information was spot on and I've come away having learned a lot. There were varying levels of experience and knowledge on the course and I would say it was accessible to all and there was a strong focus on student collaboration and participation in the learning process.

I don't know how many different ways I can say what a great course, company a bunch of people these guys are so I'll just leave it as this....

If you're on the fence, just book. You won't regret it and you won't find better.

Had a wonderful time @The Forge on a deer butchery day. Jamie was a mine of information on ways to cook the venison. Hubby dropped me off in the morning and was invited back for the sampling later that day (there were only 2 on the course). Many thanks for a wonderful day and 1/2 a roe deer now in the freezer.

Wild bushcraft's Stalk to Fork experience is worth every penny! You experience the outdoors in the most incredible way.

Guided by knowledgeable, skilled and welcoming professionals you will be well looked after from arrival to departure. You are introduced to a rare and fascinating skill set many will never encounter. You are given every opportunity to take part in every aspect of the stalking and processing of the animal.

Despite the cold, wet and windy weather of December, the camp was comfortable and warm. The food was exceptional, the company was great fun!

Wild bushcraft make an extremely challenging and fulfilling activity as accessible and achievable as it possible can be without undermining the experience.

I wish I could show you photos but it is far to immersive to keep getting your phone out to take snaps. I found it to be a deeply personal experience I will never forget.

Book it!

Drove through the pouring rain to get to Wild Bushcraft, but was really worth it. On arrival greeted by Jamie - nothing was too much bother. Nice warm fire to retreat to when we wanted, and axes bows and air rifles to get to grips with outside. All in all a great half day out.

It was just the two of us for a full day bushcraft with Jamie. We had a great day making mallets and tent pegs, lighting fires and preparing and trying pigeon which was a first! The day was rounded off nicely with a bit of axe throwing. Making the fire with the bow was a particular highlight (on my 50th birthday list!) and a definite party piece! Jamie was really friendly and knowledgable. Although it was a busy day it felt really relaxing to be outside by the fire doing bushcraft. Great communication from Jamie too about available dates to accommodate us. Thank you!
