About
The Wild Bushcraft Company provides fully immersive outdoor experiences like no other. Just imagine escaping deep into the woods for the weekend, sleeping under canvas, cooking over campfires and being completely absorbed in learning a new skill - be that fire lighting, knife making, bow-making or venison butchery. We are really big on food, and meat in particular. We are experts in deer stalking and offer the only course in the UK where you can learn how to butcher and cook your own venison - the popular Stalk to Fork experience. We can make the experience as fun and accessible as you want it to be - we cater for individuals, couples, families, stag and hen parties and corporate groups. You tell us what you want to get of your time with us and we will craft an experience you will never forget. We are based in North Wales but operate across the UK all year round.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just returned from a weekend on a stag do, it was outstanding.
The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The location is spot on and activities were great. Our host Adam was there all day and made it a great experience for all. If you’re looking for some different and away from the world, couldn’t recommend it enough.

What a great experience over a weekend , went as part of a stag doo and i was definitely humbled and actually enjoyed the way of life we was partaking in , the staff were very friendly and very knowledgeable and shown us how things was done very laid back environment left to do what we wanted there was no you must do this at this time and must do that etc , but obviously you had to be sensible about your surroundings else it could go wrong very quickly the food that was included in the package was great , especially the venison !! again thanks to the staff that looked after us , and would honestly say if your a outdoors kinda person this is definitely something you need to try !!

What an epic weekend from beginning to end. If you want to kick back and enjoy all that the outside has to bring this will be the place for you.

We all learnt new outdoor skills, Adam,Ant and Jamie were excellent hosts. The food was off the charts and in particular the butchered venison (we all got some to bring home)!!!

Plenty of bantering and good humour across the weekend, we were on a Stag Weekend, if this is what you allooking for .............you've just found it

I v been on the one day course and the two day weekend.

One day course: from the moment I arrived I found myself very safe and comfortable. A great little intro or test of what you can do out in the wild.
Throughout the day I seem to get more into the method bushcraft. The only thing that was a let down was the wind and rain, which made everything a little harder. 🙁

Two day weekend: after my one day, I was buzzing from it. Had to have another go. Booked on to weekend course. A again very comfortable and safe. Was really good for me to put into practice what I learnt last time. I was very pleased with myself. As I lit my fire and was able to make a cuppa, even as it started to rain. Again the down side was the very very poor weather. It really was atrocious, the weather had turned the ground to muddy slop.
But it would never stop me going back.

If your into the outdoors or handy at home. Give it a go, you won't regret it, worth every penny. I have gained and taken so much which now going work on. Thank you Jamie and his team, lovely friendly people, very welcoming and knowledgeable, great bacon and egg buttie 👍

A great way to spend the weekend away from the city and immerse yourself within nature and learning skills for life.
I booked this weekend as part of my son’s birthday as we had both shown an interest in Bushcraft. From the moment we arrived our hosts were welcoming, funny, sharing their knowledge showing safe and tested methods for bushcraft.
I’d highly recommend booking with the Wild Bushcraft Company, they have many courses and cater to all levels!

Brilliant four days of making. From a scrappy piece of recycled metal to a beautiful knife and leather sheath. I have zero experience of this type of work, but managed to come away with something I am super proud of. Ferg and Jamie were on-hand to help (which was needed), A brilliant course which I recommend highly! If you thought that you couldn’t make a knife - think again...

Attended the 4 day knife making course in march 2024.
Instantly Jamie and Ferg who ran the course seemed more like old friends than instructors. They were also superbly knowledgeable and were always on hand (usually at just the right moment) to help or share tips and tricks. The food was plentiful and delicious and the atmosphere around camp was warm and welcoming.
There was a good selection of materials to use and Ferg made sure that all designs and ideas were made.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in bushcraft or knife making and I’m positive you will leave satisfied.
Knowing the instructors now I would also trust that any other courses run by the company will be of the same high standard

My brother in law and I did the knife making course over 4 days. This is the 4th or 5th time I have attended something put on by The Wild Bushcraft Company. As usual I had a great time, it was really good value for money and I learnt many new skills (this time it was all about forging steel, sharpening and leather work). They really know how to deliver a relaxing and fulfilling experience. Can't recommend this company enough and I will be back again. And again...

An absolutely brilliant experience. Ferg and Jamie are excellent instructors and clearly have great passion for their work, which makes for an ideal learning environment. They are also sound, great company and really hospitable in lovely surroundings with great food. Waking up each day listening to the resident wildlife, before getting on with the next stage of crafting your own ash bow, is an almost zen experience, which I cannot recommend enough. When you string it, warm it up and shoot it for the first time and realise it isn't going to break on you...there is nothing better. If people knew how good these were, they would be running them every month.

We might of started the day interested but apprehensive but we finished the day totally buzzing, these guys were great, they are truly excellent instructors with a wealth of experience and knowledge that they are passionate about sharing in fun and informative way. All five of us came away ready to not only cook more Venison but also to skin and butcher deer at home!
