One of the best blue flag beaches near Modica. Great place to swim and not too crowded. There is a nice grove of trees behind the beach which offers good shade for a picnic lunch. There are also restaurants right on the beach.

We visited whilst en route to Scicli and Punte Secca. This is a delightful fishing village - very attractive - with apartments to rent. We would like to stay here as it looks a restful place with plenty of sea swimming on your doorstep. There is a railway station in Sampieri which connects you to Siracusa and the local towns... Sampieri has a beautiful beach with perfect water for swimming and lots of availability for renting a sun lounger and umbrella. The beach has a restaurant and a bar with great choice of food and there is a local fruit shop and supermarket close by, all you need for a few days by the sea. Sampieri is in an excellent... More

A lovely quiet little town with a great beach. Nothing fancy, but a good place to find a quiet spot of sand and sun. A good beach for young children as it has a very gentle shelf into the sea. Nice ice cream shop near the beach as well !

A simply beautiful place to visit . A great stretch of beach , slightly out of the way , but well worth the visit.

Sampieri is an attractive village no more than 20 minutes from Scili. The sand is soft, the waters a clear, beautiful blue and the beaches, mid week in July were uncrowded. The waves here are virtually non-existant,unlike the popular Montalbano beach,Punta Secca-although, if you want a connection, the old tile factory on the headland appears in at least one episode. VotaVota is highly recommended... More

Well the beach is lovely and lively but it is hard to get refreshments as there Sen to be only 2 restaurants on the beachfront.... A massive barn of a place that is so busy that you wait ages to get served and then a snobby fish restaurant that will not serve you a drink without a meal even when... More

This is a lovely beach - backed by sand dunes and then a lovely forested area which provides great shade and picnic tables for when it gets too hot!
