Very interesting but you must have a guide as you would not know any of the history and would think you were walking around a field as there are no signs and they still have a lot more work to do at the site. 2...More

Expecting a more expansive site, we were disappointed that it was basically a small museum with a 10 minute rectangular walk around the small site seeing a small section of wall and although interesting, 2 small mosaic floors. It isn't worth a special visit and...More

Aldborough Roman Town or Isurium Brigantum is a small but beautiful site. Liam, the site manager, brought it to life for us whilst we were still at the reception. The guide book is definitely worth buying as there are currently no information panels. I believe...More

Hi there, yes we do have that guidebook for sale in the visitor centre, it costs £3.50 and will be a great asset whilst walking around the site. We are open weekends 10am - 6pm. Many thanks.
