I’ve drove by the Devils Arrows for decades, always meaning to stop and have a closer look. Eventually did it, what a surprise the three monoliths are really impressive two are in a field the largest one (which is the second highest standing stone in...More

These ancient stones are rather impressive, and well worth a visit. To do so, ignore the current address listing as the stones are not on St Helena Road. Cross the main road from St Helena and go left then first right into Roecliffe Lane. The...More

The Devil's Arrow are three free standing rocks. One is on the side of the road and might be tricky to spot if you are driving. The other two are in a field off of a private road, across the street. Parking is a bit...More

It was great to see the arrows from so many years ago. Right on the outskirts of the village. Could view one which was behind a gate, and the other two in the farmers field. These were inaccessible so rather spoilt the experience.

Far more publicity should be given to these fascinating Monoliths. Just as interesting as Stonehenge, just on a smaller scale.

Beautiful majestic monoliths. Part of the Prehistoric landscape of North Yorkshire. Not easy to find or park near but well worth seeing. It would be good if in the future the council considers putting a small parking area near by and some a literature board...More
