We weren't intending to visit this museum but had a hire car and drove past it so thought we would stop in. This place could be very nice if the owners totally renovated it. Outside is not very inviting. You see more shells in the gift shop. Museum run down and dated. But if you are wanting shell jewellery in... More

We stopped here at the Shell World Museum after Big Budda. At first we weren't sure if it was open. However after paying a crazy money we went in and wished we hadn't. Definitely better places to visit.

The shell museum in Phuket is an amazing private collection of shells. My family was amazed to see the huge variety of shells on display, different patterns, colours, designs, sizes and shapes. There are some amazing fossils on display. A great place for kids and adults. The museum needs about an hour to view all the exhibits. The museum is very... More

I enjoyed the trip to the museum. Nothing spectacular as it is just shells after all but still very informative and beautiful.

Not sure how they could improve this place, it is full of shells after all. It is just a bit dry and no presented in a way that makes it interesting. If it is really raining hard and you are fed up with your hotel room, I guess it is better than shopping in Jung Cylon, again.

Situated on the main road and on the way from and to major attractions in Phuket, so it is easily accessible from all parts of Phuket. The entrance fee is slightly high but if you are interested in seeing different types of sea shells and take some fabulous photos and videos to cherish you should definitely visit. Thanks a lot... Went and had a look shell world quickly after visiting the large retail store inside jungceylon and was amazed at the detail and items on display and for purchase. We found the items to be quite decently priced for those items that were on sale

Loved all the amazing seashells but there was a lack of description on some of the items . Thought it would be a little more interactive for the children so that was disappointing . Expensive will not be back .
