This hotel is a huge waste of money. I paid $150.00 a night for a room that was absolutely gross and made me feel like I needed to shower every time I walked into it. There was mold all over the air vents. Would never stay here again and would suggest anyone who is planning a visit and stay here,... More

My wife has had the Northern Lights on her bucket list for years and someone recommended Chena. We went for 4 days and stayed in the newer Moose lodge and had a large and very nice room with great views. While not "fancy" it served every need we had curing our stay. Some other buildings look little rustic and we... More

Hot springs in the winter are amazing, you don't get cold and you enjoy it a lot. We took the Aurora tour and it was fantastic, the offer hot beverages and if you get cold you can warm up in their big tent. Worth driving and visit the resort.

We did a day trip here to see the ice museum (& get appletinis in ice glasses), have lunch, go snowmachining and go in the hot springs. The good: lunch at the restaurant (which I reviewed separately) was good as was the waitress. The hot spring itself we felt the staff was nice and it was nice to have a... More

The springs were great, you get to be in warm water with snow all around you. There are nature trails you can walk on and it is like walking in a winter wonderland!! Plus there are plentiful tours and activities. We had already scheduled our activities elsewhere, but you could get the full Alaskan experience here with the Ice Museum,... More

Be aware: I went in January - so minus 60 windchill is insane. Went with a group of 11 to see the Northern Lights, and stayed at Chena Hot Springs Resort. You are captive, and it is slightly rustic - but charming. All meals are eaten in the lodge dining room, and they are good. The rooms are very nice,... More

Even our tour guide indicated the management doesn't really care. The cafe just has frozen food you can microwave. The restaurant was very good tho as was bartendress and her drinks. The springs were very dangerous to enter, a long slippery walk. Very dark, hotspots where volcano heat was piped in. Not recommended unless u just wanna say you've been... More

This is the best experience that hotel have to offer. It's free and you can dive in as many times as you want in the hotel stay. They gave you free tickets with hotel check in. When you give them a ticket, they provide you a towel. You have to pay for a locker room. It's only 25 cents, not... More

Short ride outside of Fairbanks Alaska. On the way we had a chance to stop off and see the pipeline running through Fairbanks. The ride to the he hot Springs is very scenic, you can view the wild life. Good roads leading to the springs. Hotel on grounds, R.V. parking or camp sites. We chose to stay in the hotel.... More

We highly recommend Chema hot spring for the spring itself. It is truly a wonderful experience in the winter. The waters are very clear with very little sulphur smell and the temperature is perfect. While we were there we had a good dinner in the restaurant (not a great dinner). We did not stay in the hotel itself because it... More
