The Romans picked a great spot to celebrate their victory! Superb panoramas to be taken in. Informative little museum too. Don’t miss it if in La Turbie. Old town is impressive too.

I say it looks impressive because unfortunately we were here on a Monday and it is closed. You can still get a good look though

Trophee d'Auguste la turbie France or Tropaeum Alpium, was built by the Romans for the emperor Augustus to celebrate his victory.
As we visited the little cute town of la Turbie we also visited the trophee d'auguste whic i a must when visiting this town. Over 1000 years old I say no more.
Trophee d'Auguste is well worth the entrance fee and a visit for the views alone. Situated high on the hill in the old town of La Turbie the views and the tour are excellent.
