We had a wonderful time on the Truffle Hunt tour. Simon was highly informative on the Piemonte region as a whole and was a great guide. We had a great hunting experience with Gino the Truffle Hunter. After the hunt we had an amazing afternoon of incredible food and wine. It was a great day. In fact we ate so much we cancelled dinner. We would highly recommend this travel company and the experience was memorable.

We cannot recommend enough our experience with Piedmont food and wine. Especially for English-speaking persons visiting the region, this is a tremendous resource to have an authentic and local experience, but also engage in a way with which you can have real learning opportunities and takeaways without language barriers. We spent our day with Julia, and had a full and adventurous experience, while also learning a large amount about the local wine, designations and DOCG’s. Whether you are an experienced aficionado, or just simply looking to learn about Piedmontese, wine and cuisine, I can’t imagine another resource that would compare. I would also note that all tours are effectively customizable and you can work directly with staff to pre-specify exactly what you’re hoping to experience and focus on. This is not for those who desire, generic, and/or a big tour bus group experiences. Thank you Julia and Simon for an amazing and unforgettable experience.

This day was SO much fun - a highlight of our trip. Julia and Simon were gracious hosts, helping us with every bit of planning - even personally picking us up from our accommodation as we didn't have transport.
The day starts around 9 and though we thought we'd be back at our accommodation by 4pm, we lingered over a leisurely lunch, homecooked by a local family. It's a really special experience and highly recommended for not only the truffle but the small production wine you'll try, characters you'll meet and memories you'll keep forever. Carve out a day for this one so you don't feel rushed!

We had a wonderful time with Luca on a two-day wine tour of Barbaresco, Nieve and Trieso. This was our second visit with Luca after meeting him last year for a one-day wine tour of Barolo and Barbaresco. He knew we preferred Barbaresco so this year we stuck to the Barbaresco regions and learned about the nuances of delicious Barbaresco. We went to a castle that has been producing wine since the 1700s and still has the equipment from the era - seeing it was like a trip back in time. We also visited several small wine producers whose families have been producing wine for generations. Delicious lunches on both days with truffles - top notch. We also went to a wine producer/resort in Trieso that we are thinking about staying at next year while visiting with Luca on another Barbaresco tour. Fantastic experience every time. Thank you Luca!

Julia and Simon have created a memorable experience with local guide Gino and his dog Billy. Afterwards Gino’s wife and son treated us to an amazing lunch, using a truffle we found, and wines from his cellar. Warm, hospitable, delicious, an experience to treasure!

Julia was a phenomenal guide from start to end! She led our party of 12 through the three areas of Monferrato, Langhe, and Roero with a personalized touch and unique tastings. Her knowledge is beyond compare and her attention to detail was so appreciated. She also helped coordinate a chef’s meal and pairing at our rented villa, which many said was the best meal of their life! We would not hesitate to use Julia again for another visit!

Highest recommendation for a personalized Piedmont experience that included wine tasting in Barolo and Barbaresco, an amazing lunch recommendation in Barbaresco and a truffle hunt in the woods with expert truffle hunters (human and canine!) We actually found 2 black truffles! We learned so much about the area and wonderful people. Matteo was a wonderful guide, full of information and flexible to whatever we wanted to do, taking us everywhere we wanted to go. This is the BEST way to experience Piedmont.

Simon and Julia were the most superb hosts and guides. Not only is their local knowledge of Piedmont extensive but their passion for the area, it’s produce, people, food and wine very evident in all they do. We had the most brilliantly organised long weekend that enabled us not only to see a huge amount of all Piedmont has to offer, but to seriously relax at the same time. It felt like we had a secret address book to the region thanks to these guys, and nothing they do felt “touristy” in the way that some guided and organised excursions can. I can’t recommend them highly enough and will definitely be returning to see more of the region.

Hi have been sending through email concerning wine tasting trip on 9/6 for 2 adults. Havent got a reply yet so would like to know if it is better to ask here
Wonder if truffle hunting can be done in one day ? Thanks
The truffle hunting event we recently enjoyed lasted about three hours in total, so you could have truffle hunting mid-morning followed by lunch and then one or two tastings in the afternoon. Hope that helps.
Where do you make reservations for tasting Borolo near Alba?

We went to a couple of great wineries near Alba. I would strong recommend Costa Di Bussia. Great wine. Julia from Piedmont Food and Wine took us there and can find you other great places as well.

I was wondering if you are able to get appointments at Gaja because I know that really no one is able to. It is my girlfriend's favorite (and first) wine, I was truly hoping to surprise her with a tour here if it's at all possible.
Hi, I've been trying to get in touch w/ you via the email address on your website but haven't heard a response yet. Is this a better way to communicate? We are a family of 3 from the US (2 adults, 1 child - 4 years) and interested in a cooking course (pizza or local menu) and possibly private wine tour for high-end wineries. We have been on several wine tours so our tastes are a bit discriminate. Please advise. Thank you. Our dates are 30 Aug - 1 Sept.

My wife and I are attending a wine event in Strasbourg on October 19-22, 2018. We would like to do a truffle hunt along with a wine, food, and sightseeing tour (3-4 days) in the Piedmont region with nice accommodations, Michelin star restaurants, etc. Can you please recommend an itinerary and provide pricing? Thanks.
