Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We enjoyed the beach, it was clean and the water very clear. We paid a small entrance fee and the beach was just down the road from our hotel Villa Formosa The restaurant served oysters at US$5 for 12. Yes that's right and they were lovely fresh or cooked.

The most beautiful white sand beach with blue clean water in Panglao Island. There are many top beach front hotels with their own private beach. The sunrise is awesome and you can spend time walking along the beach, reading books, cycling, snorkel, swimming, kayaking and many other activities. The breeze is nice. Food is awesome. This is a must visit beach in Bohol.

1 major resort has taken over a large part of the beach. A resort next door at far end has been knocked down, ripe for expansion of neighbors.
Still, massage ladies on beach were good fun. Bargain for a better price/package. You can find good shade on the beach in the afternoon. Nice spot for a nap after lunch in a beach side restaurant. The water is weedy, nothing special off Alona itself.

Panglao is known for its white sand beach just like in Palawan & Boracan as worlds best beaches. There's so much things to do in the island, you can watch dolphins in the morning & do the island hopping in nearby islet. There's plenty of resto's mostly korean and filipino foods. The prices are outrageously expensive and transportation mode van & motor is also quite high. Nevertheless the place was indeed beautiful and less polluted.

This beach is sensational. The water is sparkling and refreshing. The day we went here was a weekday and we had alot of sand space to ourselves. The view here is awesome too and you can clearly see Siquijor to the south.

Panglao beach was nice, white clean sand. Snorkeling right off the beach, lots of marine life. There are many boats, but the water was clean. We did not see any oil/gas slicks.

The water is crystal clear and the locals are very friendly! In the early morning (we arrived there around 8am), tide pools were very visible and the kids enjoyed playing with the starfish and other sea creatures they found. Boats were available to take guests out to the nearby coral reefs for snorkeling where you can see thousand of colorful fish swim around you. Fresh seafood is available for purchase and they cook it any way you like. Not much veggies are available to eat, just tomatoes and eggplant. We stayed on the island for about 5 hours and enjoyed every minute of it!
