Very good views over the valleys. The vendors could be a nuisance, but then we thought of the big effort they would have made to get here just to sell a few trinkets and photos of their goats and Tibetan Mastiffs! We bought a brass singing bowl for half the Lhasa prices.

This is a road-side turn out near the summit of the road between Lhasa and Yamdrok lake. There are several vendors selling their wares. Anyone driving from Lhasa to Gyantse will certainly make an almost compulsory stop at Ganbala Pass (4.796m). The scenic and modern highway crosses the Gambala Mountains, with superb views of "Yamdrok Yumtso Lake". A quick stop, a few pictures and more memories to take home. Enjoy!

From the Gambala pass you can have a sensational view of the Yamdrok lake and Mt Nachen Khangsar and other side you can have a very nice view of Yarlung river gorges
