My partner said this was the highlight of his trip to Scotland and the Orkneys. We had a fantastic time climbing the Rackwick cliffs to the Old Man of Hoy, then visiting some museums that showed island life back in the old days, including farm...More

The tour mixed natural history, world history and local history and stories. We had glorious weather and really felt we got to know Hoy and it’s people with the highly skilled and friendly tour leader Dougie.

Lovely day out exploring an ecclectic mixture of history and landscapes around Hoy. The guide had a detailed knowledge of the local history, and we visited several of the military and coastguard sites. My favourite place was Rackwick which was beautiful on a sunny day.
