Lovely little pub with the great local family friendly feel. The tall bar man was really lovely and the owner was so friendly too. Great prices considering what other local venues charge too.

I called in at the Stags head one night on my way home from my mums. I pass it two or three times a week and on the occasion I called I'd had a bad day. This place used to be my local and I struggled to recognise it. Walls moved. Bar moved, every thing moved but not me. Staff were pleasant enough but customers were few and far between. It might have been a little too early for the crowds to come out, or maybe drinking habits have changed. Meals were on offer and sometime in the future I may be back to try something. Sadly something was lacking. …

We visited The Stag's Head for the first time this week and found a typical village pub serving excellent food at reasonable prices. Food was 'home cooked' and not the usual 'cook in the bag food' found at 'chain pubs'. WE WILL MOST CERTAINLY BE VISITING AGAIN!
