Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love this area very much.
Blessed with 4 lakes, Bali is really a wonderful island ...
3 of them are located close to each other; Beratan, Buyan, and Tamblingan lakes; the last two are even very close to each other and famous as Twin Lakes.
A must-visit points, ideal for taking a break on your trip to the North, trekking with the village park ranger, glamping or even staying to stay close with the local community to experience closer how the Balinese life is.
Do not forget to say thanks to Nature, to the mother earth for the luxury it features for us. Do not disturb them by picking up plants, leaving your trash out there; bring it home or even pick the trash up if you find it during your visit.
Save in your future travel plan please, support Bali again after this Pandemic end.

Very beautiful and cool place. We visited here with guests from Belgium to enjoy the view of the huge Buyan Lake accompanied by several friendly monkeys. We are very happy to be able to come here, the atmosphere is still natural in the countryside.

let's visit
Lake Buyan is a lake located in the Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. This lake is one of three twin lakes formed inside a large caldera. He was flanked by two other lakes, namely Lake Tamblingan in the west and Lake Beratan in the east, in this place there was also a self-center.

Really nice place for 15 minutes PAID photographs. Use the stages and people take your photos, loads of each one using your camera. Downside is one area now started charging 10 IDR each extra, which though not a lot is unnecessary.

About 8km north of Bedugul one of the most scenic roads of Bali starts, moving westwards on a narrow ridge. There are several awesome viewpoints overlooking Lake Buyan an Lake Tamblingan. If you are lucky you may even be driving above the clouds! If you go down to Lake Buyan don't miss the temple near the lake. The ambiance is wonderful (even or especially on rainy days).

In the north of Bali. This lake is next to another lake Tamblingan. Known as the Bali twin lakes. Best to view both lakes from view point on top of a hill. Beautiful scenery. Quite cool weather up here.

If you love selfie, this place is a must, because there are a lot of places and attraction for you to take photographs, just beside the lake, just pay a small sum of entrance fee, and you are good to go.

Our guide and driver brought us a point where we could view both Tamblingan and Buyan. I thought I was in the Swiss Alps when I first looked down at Buyan. Cool weather, clear skies, fantastic view. Incidentally, you can enjoy a cuppa coffee and banana fritters while admiring the scenery. There is a wooden platform where you can stand on to view both lakes.

It is located directly adjacent to Tamblingan lake. The air is still clean, the water is cold and the green trees. I love this place and recommended you to visit to Buyan lake, no entrance fee just a parking fee. There are also several restaurants that you can eat or drink.

Lake Buyan lies 1,214 metres above sea level and is located within the caldera of Bedugul Volcano, now extinct. It shares the same caldera as Lake Tamblingan and the two lakes formed one large lake, until a landslide around 1800 separated them into two, with a 2 kilometre ridge. The are commonly referred to as the Twin Lakes.
Coming from Lake Beratan, take Jl. Pancasari-Baturiti (Google Maps), for great views of Lake Buyan and along the road there are places to park and see groups of monkeys playing, as an added bonus the monkeys here didn’t seem to be aggressive. Stay on this road until coming to Jl. Raya Wanagiri which follows the top of Lake Buyan and then the top of Lake Tamblingan, there are parks along this road to stop for great views of both these lakes.
