Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival. The museum was explained to us and we were seated to watch a film of the process of making olive oil. The museum holds lots of equipment once used in the process and is a fascinating building. We were then taking to the tasting room to sample olive oils, chilli jams, marmalades and a most delicious local liqueur. The entrance price was an absolute bargain for such an informative and delicious experience. This is a must do if in the area. Thank you to museum staff

This is a small museum in a quiet village that tells the history of local olive oil production, and then has yummy tastings of all the delicious oils and spreads they produce. They also have some lovely homemade toiletries. They were very pleasant and friendly and we had a very enjoyable time.

The road up the mountain was ok, a lot of bends in the road so drive slowly.
Driving through the old olive gardens was an eye pleaser.
At the museum we paid 2,5 eur per person. Firstly we saw a video on how olive oil is made today.
Then the person in charge there explained how it was made back in the days and also the benefits of using olive oil in a daily diet.
Lastly we tasted some of the goodies, extra virgin oil with bread, olive patte chilli jam sweet olives and other stuff.
You can also buy everything you are tasting
Definetly worth a visit in the morning hours.

Whilst small and limited, visitors get a comprehensive insight into how olive oil used to be manufactured, as well as the opportunity to taste some local oils, olive paste, chilli jams and rose liqueur. At the bargain price of €2.50

It was already the second time in the last 4 years, that I was visiting this place. This time together with my 28 years old son. It was again worthwhile.

Very kind and welcoming host and hostess who gave us a tour through this little, old olive oil factury which is now a museum.
We got to see the way olive oil is made and were given multiple samples of the delicious products they produce which had a great and unique taste. See for yourself and you will definitly leave with some amazing products from their shop!

Not sure why you get a price for a tour when clicking on the TripAdvisor page as the museum is free. It is perfectly formed and you leave knowing more about olives than you thought possible. Really lovely little place and the guy who does the "tour" is great. Very knowledgeable despite stupid questions from the audience. If you want to get out of the sun for a while this is worth a trip.

A small, but very well designed, structured and welcoming museum. The guide speaks good English, which was a relief after some previous negative impressions. The history and process of olive producing is interesting for a non-Mediterranean citizen, the food tasting is really great! It is a great place!

The museum visit started off with a short movie about how olive oil is made nowadays. Afterwards the host took us back in history by showing the old methods and machines that were used until 1970. Some scientific information about olive oil was given and he is was happy to answer any questions. We learned new and interesting things. To end the tour, we got to taste a variety of very tasty olive products that were available in their small shop. Nice souvenirs to take home from an island full of olive trees! Apart from the museum and the tour, the host and his wife were very friendly. She also showed her accomodations 'Villagio Magnolia', an absolute beauty in the middle of nature. To conclude: very nice people and an interesting (small) museum!
