- Melodie P23 contributionsBest beach in PhuketClean, beautiful and not too overcrowded! Restaurants and stores in walking distance. Per local taxi driver we became friends with, this is the best and cleanest beach in Phuket. Patong Beach is dirty and overcrowded with tourists.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 November 2023

- Hadiza B2 contributionsBest part of Phuket. The beach was great, but expect a lot of tourists. Rock Salt is right next to the beach and it’s amazing. The staff, especially Gib, are fantastic. Food and ambience are top notch. If you meet Gib, you’ll have an amazing time there, watching the surf and enjoying the great food.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 19 April 2024
- LoislovestravellingMelbourne, Australia870 contributionsBrilliant place to relax ….. quickly! This place is hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger more popular tourist destinations (granted we were here in low season). They had manned life saver flags to swim between, lounge beds to hire by the beach and a smattering of good places to eat…. And of course a perfect place to relax.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 8 June 2024

I love Nai Harn beach!
It’s my favorite beach in Phuket, it is a very long beach , you can chose either to lay on the sand or to stay on the private beach that offers sun-beds and has a small bar ( it was so nice to drink a coconut and relax).
The water is clean, clear and the sand is soft.
Even in high season the beach is not too crowded.
The lake before arriving to the beach is lovely and there is a temple on the side that makes the atmosphere amazing.
I go there every year!

Nai Harn Beach was a Great place to spend a few hours swimming, snorkeling, and relaxing. You can rent 2 beach chairs with umbrella for 200 Thb (a necessity if you don’t have your own shade). There are opportunities to rent SUPs and Kayaks. Lifeguards are on duty. Snorkeling isn’t anything special but fun for kids and an opportunity to see some basic fish. There are some drink bars and massage opportunities as well. The sand is fine, soft and hot in the sun.

Naiharn beach is a gorgeous beach for swimming and hanging out in lounge chairs. For 200 baht you can rent a pair of loungers and an umbrella but you have to get there early for the good spots, preferably before 9:30 am during peak season.
You can buy fruit and snacks nearby for what is probably an inflated price but it's convenient for sure.
Remember to pack your sunscreen and plenty of water. The water can be calm but also remember to look at the colour of the flag on the beach to make sure you're a skilled enough swimmer to manage it.
There is a nice lagoon area for children on the left side of the beach.

We had visited Nai Harn Beach during our sightseeing in Phuket. We had booked private car through Klook for full day sightseeing and this beach and the adjacent Buddha temple was part of our itenary. This is a beautiful beach with blue sea and yellow sand. The beach was crowded with tourists swimming, sunbathing or relaxing in the beach chairs. We had simple lunch in one of the small restaurants near the beach.

Excellent beach at southern end of Phuket. Pure white sand and crystal clear water. Great beach for kids. Couple of resorts close by for lunch, local trinket shops and produce available as well as massages etc. lovely big trees sit above beach if it gets to hot for you. Only downside is that it can get a bit overrun at times. Very enjoyable experience

Beautiful bay backed by tree covered hills. It is a long beach with powder soft sand and clean water. It is patrolled by lifeguards and signs are set out to tell you if it is safe for swimming. Two areas of sunbeds packed close together at the rear of the beach so do not spoil the beauty of the beach. A few restaurants can be found behind the beach. There is a grassy area at the back of the beach shaded by trees. Rocks at the extreme right of the beach good for snorkelling. Parking available behind the beach and lots of food vendor carts on the road leading down to the beach.

Lovely quieter beach, only 1 hotel on the surrounding hillsides.
Safe clean ocean to swim in.
No jetskis, banana boats etc.
Lovely market stalls by beach, cheaper than the night markets for fake clothing, watches etc.

We visited Nai Harn beach in 2013 on way to Promthep cape to see the infamous sunset. Our taxi driver recommended this beach and we tanked him for this.
We were told that this used to be nude beach until few years back (huh!). beach gets tides, so good for tide lovers, but has red flags as back current is not very safe at these spots. Me and son though enjoyed every tide. Since it is located far off and access required taxi, there wasnt too much of rush. Sand is soft and hardly any rocks under water!
some of the hotels looked nice to us (we were staying on Patong) and may be in one of the future trips, will stay on these isolated spots.

Beautiful beach - the best on Phuket. Soft sands and clear waters. Early morning when it's quiet is magical, while the sunsets are also stunning (but busier!). Definitely worth the trip if on Phuket.

We have been to 5 or 6 beaches so far and this we find the best one: long and wide beach, often windy what makes it easier to stand the day heat. Views are beautiful: rocks, green islands, sometimes yachts. Sand is pretty clean, umbrellas available. Could be a bit wavy as wind is always blowing. Plenty of restaurants nearby but no big hotels so you avoid noisy crowds everywhere. I can’t say this beach is uninhabited but far less people than on Kata or Kamala

Is there any shortcut/pathway on the east end of the beach to the road which leads to the Windmill viewpoint? Or do you have to walk all the way down by the Nai Harn Lake to get to that road? Shortcut would make the trip almost 1 kilometer shorter.

Dear All:
I wish to know easy ways to go from Kata beach to Nai Harn beach?
I plan to stay at the Windmill resort near Nai Harn next month. Thank you.
Man
Written 10 February 2019
The Windmill Resort is near Yanui Beach, you can walk there, but Nai Harn Beach is about 4 Kim over a large hill, if you are planning to go there daily you will need transport, as this is a quiet area of Phuket and no Tuk Tuk or Taxi on every corner

Kan bara hålla med föregående skribent. Fin strand, väl värt besöket men snorklar inte så där faller även jag kort. Önskar er ett härligt besök!

If we stay in an hotel near this beach, is it easy to reach other beaches or beautiful places by walking or cycling? Thanks
Written 26 June 2018
Hello,! @ Nai Harn area is very pretty and from there you can move easily on other beaches. There are several clubs in Nai Harn but it is quieter than Patong. The best way is the scooter, now there is not much traffic!

We are going to phuket from Singapore with 3 days cruise. Please suggest which beach is beautiful and how to go there ?
Written 14 June 2018
We did this cruise and hired a local travel guide to give us a day tour. She met us at the jetty and her driver (in a nice air conditioned 7 seater vehicle all day) took us around Phuket. Was well worth the money as you get to see quite a lot. If you are just after beaches, then you may think the travel further south may take too much time with the return ride back, as traffic is horrendous you’d only get a couple of hours at the beach.
Agree with other reviews below that the main ones are pretty busy & not clean
