Going the extra mile.

The Shop has been an absolute godsend during the last 12 months, especially for us locals. The staff have bent over backwards to ensure that the shop has been fully stocked and I'm not sure what we would have done without their delivery service throughout ALL of the lockdowns. Thank you.

Walkers and Dogs not welcome
Nov 2019 • Friends
My mum and I had a lovely walk with our dogs and decided to visit the coffee shop for a well earned piece of cake and a cup of tea. It was great to see that there was a sign on the door to say ‘Walkers and Dogs welcome’. Well you could have fooled me! As soon as we walked in we were met with two very stern faces and instantly felt unwelcome. One of the ladies even said ‘we have just cleaned’. So straight away it was evident they didn’t want us there and so turned around and left the shop. We were understandably upset and shocked by the incident and most definitely will not be returning. I hope they take the sign down as this place is neither walker or dog friendly.

Wonderful village shop and cafe
Nov 2018 • Family
This is one of the friendliest places to stop for a great coffee and bite to eat in the area! The cafe has recently been beautifully updated and has enough space for accompanying pushchairs or dogs (who are very welcomed with water and treats!). As it’s run by the local community, the prices are significantly lower than normal cafes and the freshly baked pastries and cakes are particularly excellent. Plenty of breakfast options and there are also made to order sandwiches, rolls and baguettes with traditional fillings. Perfect place to stop, particularly for those walking the Heart of England way. Definitely recommended!

Fabulous bakery
May 2018 • Couples
We are staying next door in a wonderful cottage and are fortunate to have the cafe/bakery small grocery shop beside us. Sharon’s loaves are incredible and it is very worthwhile to pop in and pick a few items up as a hostess gift or to enjoy yourselves.

Friendly and fab food
Nov 2017 • Friends
Finished our short stay in Longborough with a late breakfast/mid morning snack. Friendly locals moved their chairs to allow us to sit down and then chatted with us. Great cake, bacon sandwich (and service) !!
Well worth calling in if you are travelling down the A46 :-)

Morning Coffee at Longborough Village Cafe
Sep 2017 • Couples
We were strolling through the pretty village of Longborough when a local pointed us to the cafe, informing us it is owned by the village. We are glad we took up his recommendation - excellent coffees and a friendly relaxed vibe. Plenty of locals present including young mothers and their children.

Also a post office and paper shop.

Had we more time, we would have stayed for bacon butties...

Lovely little cafe
Apr 2017 • Couples
What a lovely little cafe/shop. After reading great reviews on Tripadvisor and arriving a little early from Norfolk on our way to pick some chickens up we decided to pop in for some refreshments. We were not disappointed, lovely little shop/cafe, great friendly welcomly staff, would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Morning coffee
Apr 2017 • Couples
What a find in this lovely village! Dropped in for coffee as we were passing through and were made to feel most welcome. This is a community run cafe and village shop run by volunteers. A lovely lady by the name of Mary greeted us and made our coffee and a very nice coffee it was too. Young Marina was making a good job of managing the till and was most polite. All in all it was well worth stopping for!!
