Lots on offer walking on the Common. There is an off road bike course, golf course and cows/horses grazing to see. Beautiful views and scenery despite it being a drizzly day when we visited.

A very large open space to explore. Free roaming cattle so drive slow as they like to stand in the roads! Usually lots of kites to spot on windy days, we usually fly our own too. Def have a Winstones Ice Cream if you see a van, or pop to the shop. Free parking. Lovely views.

We brought our 4 year old and had a really lovely walk, super views for us and plenty of muddy puddles for him to jump in!

As a lover of Highland cattle I was recommended to visit this place when I was in the area. I had never heard of it before. Apparently the farmers are allowed to let their cows graze on the common for so many months of the year. I was not disappointed. The funny thing was there was a golf course through the middle of it and the animals took no notice!! Lots of cattle roaming around and then I spotted a group of Highland cows. My friend was driving and went to turn round to get a closer look and came across a lovely donkey and some shire horses. She then parked up so that I was able to go and see the cows. It was great to be able to get up close to them. Will definitely be back for another visit.
