Great place to have jog, play or picnic

The park covers a very large area - the running track is about 3ks. There are plenty of open places for picnics, riding bikes, playing cricket, touch footy etc.

Travel by River Cat to Parramatta to walk to Parramatta Park only to find that the walk from the Ferry Wharf to Parramatta Park was stopped by building work on a Oval there and could not proceed to Parramatta Park !

Visit here daily for a run, and it is absolutely fantastic if you are looking for somewhere nice to run, walk or cycle. So green and well appointed - cannot fault this place!

Why is it that the sight of flowing rivers elicits a feeling of tranquillity in us? We were visiting Parramatta from Victoria and enjoyed several pleasant walks along the banks of the Parramatta River. The local council have a path and historical boards at significant points along the river where a stroller can learn about the history of the area.... More

Nice quiet walk along the river. Not much else around though. Good spot to sit for a quiet lunch break.

Visit Old Government house, the swimming hole and see the gardens. Warning: it can get very hot on sunny days so take a hat and appropriate clothes and look for shade. Some very... More

Being one of the biggest green patches in Sydney, Parramatta park is a lovely gift to residents of Parramatta/Westmead and the surrounding suburbs!!! I have been a regular here for a while now.
