This is worth the drive from Reykjavik. We stayed 2 nights in the southeast part of Iceland and the lagoon is part of the many wonders to see in this part of the country. We went during April so it is relatively warmer and there...More

The view is fantastic, but as empty as other places are in Iceland this one is overcrowded. It is like being in the Vatican Museum: tours, people, buses, coffee shops... I would recommend better the less packed Fjallsárlón glacier, or once in this place go...More

We visited as part of a round Iceland drive. We took a trip out on one of the ex US military amphibious vehicles. The lagoon is stunning. The blues in the icebergs have to be seen to be believed. One giant iceberg decided to turn...More

The number of 'roadside' attractions in Iceland is staggering ... I would be willing to hike for miles to see the things that you do here after only two minutes. A special place indeed. No tips on how best to see this - it's beautiful....More

If you're driving the ring road this is a must see, if you're spending 4 days in Iceland you can get out here in that time, as we did it (370km from Reykjavik). We did an amphibian boat tour, which is also a must, about...More

When I booked my trip to Iceland, the place I wanted to see most is definitely Jokulsarlon. The magnificent view took our breath away... despite feeling freezing cold, we stayed for hours to get awesome photos. It's a must visit! A sight to behold.

Incredibly beautiful spot, which changes dramatically depending on the weather. I'd recommend walking round the edge of the lagoon a bit - to get away from the crowds and enjoy the peace of this stunning location.

Yes, this area is a bit "touristy," but it's practically a must see... I'd recommend taking the cruise, as in addition to seeing glacier pieces up close and personal, you'll have a chance to hold and taste a glacier fragment. Before you leave, be sure...More

We drove from Reykjavik out to the lagoon and it was so worth the drive. The drive long, with many beautiful picturesque spots along the way. The weather perfect, and no rain, we enjoyed the drive and many stops. We arrived at the lagoon around...More

Just gorgeous. No other words. There were hundreds of icebergs in the lagoon. Far beyond worth the drive to get there. Even with the mediocre weather, it defies words.

The Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon can be visited all year round. The daylight hours are still long during the month of August and yes, plenty of ice flows and boat rides
Which is the best month to see blue glaciers in jokulsurlon .

The zodiac boats only run May - September, so I would recommend during those dates.
