Hope you have calculated 4-5 hr time considering 2 Hrs reporting time at Kolkata Airport. For 11 PM flight you will have to report at 09.00 PM. If you are going to travel by AC class than on getting down at Howrah, you may straight away go to waiting room for higher class passengers which is free of cost. There are good facility in the waiting hall i.e. Wash Rooms, Television etc. The view of Howrah Bridge is awesome form the retiring room gallery.
Considering the heavy traffic and distance of Kolkata Airport approx 17 Kms, it is advisable to reach early at Airport and rest at lounge.
There is also a option of Yatri Niwas at Howrah Railway Station, but which you will have to pay full day charges which comes to Rs. 500-700.
