Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Mohammad was a great host and guide during our trip to see the Jashak salt dome. He was very flexible with the organising of our trip as the buses arrival time can be a bit inconsistent and he waited patiently for our arrival. We also changed our travel plans as it was raining heavily on the previous day.

His family were genuinely kind and accomodating. Mohammad’s mother cooked really nice home made meals and made fresh breads for us for both meals.

The Jashak salt mountain was amazing. Mohammad knew his way around the place. He knows different routes and places to see the most amazing view!

It’s definitely one of the top underrated places in Iran. Recommend people to go see it before it’s more known to the rest of the world.

This is the magic, wonder, weird land.
I can't compare this to any other places I've ever seen in my life around the world. It was an amazing trip to Anarestan and jashak salt mountain. The hidden treasure of Zagros mountains. Tnx to #Mohammed and his family# we had a wonderful time there. Absolutely I recommend this to everyone who is coming to iran. It's a paradise for photography, hiking, off the beaten track, salt therapy. Magic colors, waterfalls made if pure white salt, colorful crystals, deep caves and the Most beautiful natural creations.
You can easily reach there via direct bus to "jam" from shiraz, Bandar Abbas.
Mohammed was a great guide. and his mother was a great cook. Do u need his contact?:

Just coming back from a day trip to Salt mountain .Leaving from Anarestan village, where there is a wonderful homestay in Mohhammed house.
Five hours walking around a very big salt dome(the biggest in Middle East)
You feel like walking in the moon, incredible rock and salt formations, salt caves to be cross, salt rivers and salt cascades .A complete paradise for photographers and for any people who lives nature .As beatiful as Kaluts in kerman área..
After Hormuz island ,I thought nothing .could be compare with it in terms of sublime geólog , but this salt mountain is even more espectacular because of its size and morfology.
Easy access from Bandar Abbas or Busher ,also from Ahvaz .
Fantástic stay in a local house in Anarestan village.Traditional food and music and very welcome family .
Mohhamed organized many activities for us in the área. One of the best is to search the sky every night with his profesional telescope .A must if you like nature and you are travelling in south Iran

The salt dome is amazing, a real magical place. It is beautiful and there were no other tourists. The different colors are mesmerising. Mohammed showed me around and I stayed at his families place. This made the trip even more memorable, because you experience real Iranian hospitality.

Our tour to the salt dome and the stay with our guide Mohamed was one of the highlights of our Iran trip. The landscape is incredible and Mohamed knows the place very well and showed us very different interesting places. He would also integrate our ideas and wishes for our stay into his plans. His family welcomed us warmly and cooked delicious meals for us. All in all, we can absolutely recommend it!

Most probably you won't find Salt Dome in commercial tourist guides of Iran. However, the salt dome is an undiscovered pearl in southern Iran.
Don't forget to take a camera with you because the rocks are so colorful that you will fill up your SD card. I highly recommend that you go to the valley in the early morning because it gets very warm around the noon. Maybe it is a better time to visit the dome in the winter because there will be some salty water. On the other hand, it is worth to see salty falls in the summer when they are completely white.
On the top of that, the hospitality of the guide's family is amazing. They will teach you how to prepare Iranian bread or kebab. They are friendly and open. If you want to experience how locals live than this is the place to be. The family is unforgettable. There are also good bus connections with the southern part of Iran if you want to continue your trip. The guide will also pick you up. Ask also for other tours. The guide has many suggestions.
