A tour of this distillery is a must for any gin lover. The guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable and gave a continuous fact filled commentary at all times.
The setting is beautiful with a crystal clear stream running through the grounds.
There is plenty of time to visit the café or bar with food snacks and hot and cold drinks available.
You are given a choice of G and T when you start which you can enjoy whilst watching an introductory film.
At the end of the tour a visit to the shop is a must to stock up on supplies for when you get home,
A great day out, you will not be disappointed.

Disappointed by the experience. The 'tour' begins with being told how to make a gin & tonic (surely most adults would know that already). After making our drink (a gin & Indian tonic - not a "gin cocktail" as advertised) we had to sit through a promotional video presentation before sliding doors opened up to reveal the courtyard. The walking tour began in a group of approx 25 people, some wheelchair users.
It was difficult to hear the tour guide., we only had access to one building and the glasshouses and there was poor access for the wheelchair users.
Most of the tour was outdoors, lucky it was a fine day when we went.
I felt the tour was overpriced and would not recommend it to friends.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we're sorry to hear that you thought the experience wasn't good value for money and found it disappointing. As you have mentioned, all guests receive a Bombay Sapphire gin & tonic included in the ticket price, and whilst it is a popular cocktail, we cannot always guarantee that all our guests have made one before so we like to guide them through the process and advise them on our perfect serve, with a choice from three of our Bombay gins and the ideal accompanying garnish. Our Distillery is fully accessible to disabled guests, with the exception of areas where the layout of historical or listed buildings restricts access however our Hosts are always happy to accommodate to provide the same experience for visitors with impaired mobility. I'm sorry you found it difficult to hear the tour guide, our Hosts are always happy to speak louder and adjust their delivery accordingly if you let them know. During the tour, guests access our Turbine Bar and Cinema Room, Botanical Glasshouse, Dry Room, and Stillhouse, plus our Cafe housed in the Grade Two listed Mill Cottages, finishing up in our Mill Bar and Gin Shop. We're glad the weather was on your side when you visited us.

Honestly wasn’t quite sure what to expect as this had been booked by friends for a Birthday treat. What a great experience! From beginning to end, we were greeted by friendly, knowledgeable members of the team who made our tour so informative, relaxed and enjoyable. I can’t really choose a best bit! I’m sure it depends on the options booked but we were greeted almost immediately with a G&T, We visited a cute little cinema room which was very informative, which then revealed more of the tour of the grounds/botanical area/distillery room etc… We had a fantastic experience on the cocktail making masterclass and were made to feel very welcome throughout the entire visit. Some great history to a really wonderful part of Hampshire. I’d suggest taking the time to visit the entire grounds if possible. The cafe served great coffee,- very friendly and efficient, (we arrived early!) and the gift shop was well worth a visit before we headed home. I’m already planning my next visit with family…

This trip was part of the Belmond Train day out and I'm so glad we chose this tour. My friend and I went thinking we'll just go along for the ride as neither of us are really Gin drinkers. But after the day there we may well change our minds! It was simply a lovely experience from beginning to end. The climax for our group was the Cocktail making and tasty with a lovely young lady who took the class. She made if fun and interesting and the food platter that was also laid on for guests was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyable. Well done!

Firstly, I should say how fantastic the actual gin experience was! The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable and efficient. The cocktail part was great fun and our cocktail maker superb!! The gin part should be rated excellent, but the cafe experience beforehand was unbelievably bad. Although the panini was fine (perhaps these are brought in from outside caterers?) we asked for two sandwiches: one on white bread with cheddar cheese and ham, the other on brown bread with cheddar cheese and tomato. They arrived and both were on inedible gluten free bread, we sent them back. Then both sandwiches arrived in cheap white bread, no butter but with bits of the gluten free sandwich attached. The male server could not understand what the problems were so it took a while to sort out before we just asked for a refund - think they were £8.00 each. My advice would be to have lunch elsewhere - The White Hart at Overton, just down the road, would be a far better choice....at least until things improve at the cafe. A shame as this was not a good way to start a visit, others attending the tour said that they too had issues with the cafe food.

Wonderful time at Bombay Sapphire Distillery! We took the Discovery Experience, where we were given a tour of the grounds, entered the greenhouses, learned about how Bombay Sapphire gin is made, etc. Then we had tickets for the Gin Masterclass which was so much fun! We learned how to make 3 different cocktails: the Laverstoke, a Negroni, and a Bee's Knees. They all turned out delicious. Following the end of our class & tour, we grabbed new drinks and a bite to eat at the bar which were really good. Everybody we interacted with with so kind and helpful. Just note, if you are taking public transportation, pay close attention to the bus and train times. We had taken the train to Whitchurch station and planned to get a taxi but none were available. It was an hour walk there and back to the distillery, but luckily there were sidewalks and a footpath which made the walk decently easy. We had a great time!

We booked this as a birthday present and I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed. There was a group of four of us who went on the tour and we all had a great afternoon. The tour is about an hour and a half long and you receive a complimentary G&T straight away.

Our guide was Isabelle, she was fantastic! She was really knowledgable and informative! She was also happy to answer any questions we had and gave us ample time to look around all the different parts of the tour! Thank you!

The only thing I would mention - to go in to one of the distilling rooms you aren’t allowed open-toe shoes for health and safety reasons. This was totally fair however I wasn’t aware of this and was wearing sandals. They were able to provide me with closed toe shoes but as a pointer for anyone else going on the tour, you may want to wear trainers / closed toe shoes for ease!

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and our visit to Bombay Sapphire and I would definitely be inclined to visit again! Once again, a shoutout to our tour guide Isabelle, you were brilliant!
