Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had booked a wine-tasting here on our first day in France, but because of heavy (terrible) traffic, we did not reach it. Luckily for us, both the owner of the chateau and the logis are very service-minded, so together they fixed us a new appointment. Very good! First we had a tour through the vineyards and the garden. We then went to the chateau and madame Edith showed us a film and told us about the wine-making. It was very informative and pedagogical. This lady knows what she is talking about. We also tasted some of her wines ofcourse. Most wine from Savennieres is white, from the grape chenin blanc, and we liked it. We also tasted a rosé and a light red.

A fantastic independent chateaux in a beautiful town.

We were given a map by the lovely host and sent on our way to discover the history of this vineyard.

This is not a commercial winery and it is a self tour, but a very informative wine tasting at the end, where you can try three samples of their delicious wines. All explained very well, and matched to your taste.

€4 per person worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Thank you.

Les Vins Domaine du Closel are a winery located in the little town called Savennieres near Angers, in Loire Region, in France. This winery has a wonderful Chateau and big gardens, where you can walk before to see the winery and taste some of the wines. Really, it was a relaxing visit in a relaxing town. First in the gardens, after the staff explain me the history of the winery and, at the end I can taste some of the wines, which were fantastic. A great place for wine-lovers.

A self guided tour through a field and woodland. That is uneven to walk on.
The tasting was limited to 3 wines per table. So advise split tables if you want to actually be regarded as an individual. No glass to keep and wine limited.

Visited here with friends and had one of our best ever vineyard visits. We started with a visit to vineyard and see the grapes which were just ready for harvest. This vineyard is run by organic and biodynamic principals and it was great to see the thought put into the entire eco system. The tasting we had in library with madam Evelyne with wines from estate and we saw the passion and integrity that she had for making wines of highest standards. Overall it is one of our great wine visits and we will certainly remember it.
