From start to finish the atmosphere was tense mainly due group of dominating locals in the corner all highly intoxicated that then began to fight each other. The same group went onto make racist jeers at a POC footballer -The Landlady was sat with them during this and did nothing to discourage the remarks. Avoid at all costs.

I turned up to watch the boxing with my elderly step dad & his disabled best friend. We got refused entry as the bouncers said the pub was full (which it clearly wasn’t as I could see from the doors that it was half empty) door staff had a threatening manner. This was highly embarrassing & no understanding of why we had been refused entry.

Fixtures & furnishings upgrade has freshened up the look and updated-nice chandeliers... pity they haven't gone the extra mile and painted the tired frontage.

Decided to pop in for a drink with our 10yr old son whilst passing the village on a nice day. Place was pretty much empty. Only planned on one as I was heavily pregnant so obviously not going for a drinking sesh. Told no children allowed so didn’t even get a drink. No sign on door warning of this. So pretty embarrassing really! Think it’s disgusting that you can’t even spend a bit of family time socially these days. Disgusting!!!

A great go to for any sports viewing. Been anytime the football is on and theres always a spot whether its at the bar or seated as there are TV's everywhere. Never eaten a meal here but you cant go wrong with some cheap beer and crisps! Staff are always good fun too.
