A very interesting place while visiting Bryson City. The story behind the government and how they do this but end up doing that is a great example of waste. But now we have a great place to walk and see the sights.

We had heard of this place for years and this trip decided to go check it out. We found it difficult to get to. The story was interesting, the tunnel cool but after that the trail was just a trail.

After taking the trip to the Fontana Dam. We went to the road to nowhere. It's all sad. Most of the people that were promised the road are no longer living. The boat takes them to the old cemetery sites only once a year. Just...More

After a stop in Bryson City for a bite to eat and a great boutique (Humanite), we headed to the Road to Nowhere. Easy to find as you just keep straight down the main street in Bryson City. The drive is very pretty and there...More

Not sure but even in daytime, the tunnel is very dark. Bring a flashlight!
