The views are simply worth it !
Simply amazing. The views are worth it and the water park is also good. Coming back in evening, we were the only ones in the cable car and the experience was truly divine. Do try some of the rides in water park and eagle’s eye and roller coaster since that’s included in the 600,000 ticket.

    Great experience and fantastic view!
Fantastic view from the cable car and nice scenery. The tickets paid (inclusive of entrance fee for the theme park and Aquatopia Water Park) were well worth it. Ride was ok despite the strong winds.

    Was worth the trip
The cable car ride was great. Fantastic views, took approximately 15 min one way. The water park was a lot of fun so don’t forget to take your swimmers and a towel. They have lockers you can rent which I would recommend and you can rent towels too. There were some rides closed but plenty more to choose from. I would recommend going in the morning so you can spend the day there. The cable cars stop at 11.30 and resume at 1.30pm so try and get there before 11.30. The water park will close around 4.30pm to ensure everyone gets off the island by 5.30pm.

    Must Do
Incredible views from the cable car that extends for 8km and goes over 2 other islands. Once you land you get to the fun park which is really epic. You want a full day here, there’s 12 different water slides and they are all great. I ride the water slides and then had lunch and went and relaxed on the beach before heading back for more water slides. It’s very well set up. They have a pretty wild roller coaster and a few other rides. The restaurants are basic and far more expensive but that’s to be expected on an isolated island. It’s really good value at about $40 AUD per person including adventure park admission and cable car return.

    Cable car ride impressive!
Cable car is very impressive. 15mins each way. Beautiful views of the islands, coast line and fishing villages. Do a round trip only unless you are into water theme parks otherwise there is not much else for you here.

Fantastic experience and a great water park at the island. Well worth it for the price….good value. The views are incredible and such an engineering feat. The Italianate town ‘Sunset Town Resort’ is a little bit odd as no one seems to live there, it’s a full new town but strangely empty. ???

Spectacular cable car and very good Water park
Hon Thom Cable Car is located at Phu Quoc island southern tip. It belongs to Sun World amusement park along with the Sunset village from where it starts and the Water park where the cable car takes you. The newest addition to the complex, opened for Christmas 2023 is the Kiss Bridge which is close to the start station. Speaking of the Cable Car it is really spectacular. As many said, it's the longest cable car over the sea, 8 km long. It crosses two smaller islands until it reaches the third one, where's the Water park. It can only be compared to Hong Kong Lantau Buddha cable car, but this one here has more modern and spacious cabins with around 15-20 people capacity. Beware, you CANNOT buy tickets only for the cable car. Every ticket includes entry to Water (theme) park with waves pool, waterslides, roller coaster,.... If that's not your cup of tea, have in mind they have a gorgeous beach with sunbeds included in the price, so it would be unreasonable paying the ticket only for going there and back. Take the towels from your hotel or you can rent them here. Beware also, the cable car has a pause in service daily - I think 11.30AM-1.30PM (double check that) when you cannot use it to go or come back, so plan accordingly. Likewise the Vinworld a day before, I was again surprised how the waterpark is almost empty. Again, NO waiting lines for any rides, including the most popular ones. You can go up and down, again and again as many times you want without any wait. Staff is very kind, directing you if you cannot find the way and at the same time very conscientious. They will measure and weigh you every time before letting you ride, no matter you were there 5 min before, which was little bit annoying.

Well worth the money if you make use of the great water park
We had originally planned just to do a cable car trip, just for the experience, but then realised that you couldn't do just this, without gaining entry to Sun World water park. Prices appeared to be approx £20 per adult in late December 2023 and after a quick Google, we found sites offering discount if you book in advance + discount codes, which meant that we paid £17.50 each. This was a good price when you consider what you get for your money. The cable car experience was very good, large cars, spectacular views & as the place wasn't that busy there was maybe 8 adults in one car, which meant that we weren't sat on top of each other as they are designed to take a lot more. Sun World is still clearly being developed and there aren't that many attractions there in terms of roller coasters, rides, etc. but that isn't what we went for. There is a lovely beach if you want to chill out, but the main attraction for us was the water park. Having been to VinWonders a few days earlier, both of us agreed that the Sun World water park was a lot better, despite a few of the rides not being open. We were able to go around the rides with very little queues (more staff from Sun World would have solved this problem) and had a great day before heading back on the cable car. Highly recommended if you are in want a good day out at a water park with the thrill of the cable car to get there.

    Amazing view
The cable car is a great experience in itself. You travel across the water to an island which has a great water park there. The bottom of Phu Quoc where this is situated is a great area to base yourself and has many attractions to see. Is a lot newer than the top of the island.

We were great at the Ticket counter by a very grumpy, impatient and unhelpful member of staff. Tickets were purchased and a very large queue was joined. We did not have to queue for long as despite the covid situation they were filling the cable cars to capacity (everyone was wearing masks). The views were good but due to the volume of people in the cable car it was difficult to locate a position to take any photos.
The cable car journey was about 10 minutes and you depart beside the water park.
The waterpark was large and included a great number off slides and a lazy river.
Sadly there was maintenance work bring completed on the young children's splash area so my 3 year old daughter was limited in what she could partake in.

We had an issue when changing for the waterpark, in that they had closed all the changing rooms and were expecting patrons to change either in small toilet or shower cubicles. I was given no explanation why every changing facility was out of action. You could hire a locker for a few and paid a deposit for an electric wristband.
We noticed that there was limited places to leave towels etc when using the facilities.

Our 7 year old son enjoyed the slides and splash area and we all enjoyed the large lazy river.

Within the park there were a number of food outlets, we opted to top up the wristband and purchased a simple pizza and drink combo from an outlet.

We spent in total about 3 hours within the park and had all the facilities been open and the weather better we could have spent longer.

When leaving the waterpark we again were expected to change in the now very wet and dirty cubicles and this is something which seriously needs addressing as admission to the cable car is not cheap and standards should definitely be higher.

Please also note the cable car does not run between 12- 1.30.

I would be reluctant to return to the park due to the poor customer service, but maybe if this and building work complete higher stars would be awarded.

The views on the cable car are so amazing, it's worth a visit despite the high price (550k VND). At the current moment, the cable car only runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a ticket for the cable car alone. The experience on the cable car is really amazing, but expect to share the car with other people. The ride is smooth and has an amazing view of the islands and boats in the harbor. I've never seen anything like this, and I think this use of cable car technology is really extraordinary.

Your cable car ticket includes Sun World Hon Thom Nature Park entry, which is excessive if you don't want to visiting the park. We walked into the waterpark, only because our ticket included it, and noticed that many of the water park areas were closed.

The cable car only runs at certain times, so you have to wait for your return ride. The last return ride of the day had a very long line full of people leaving the waterpark. Best to avoid that last return time slot of the day to avoid the lines.

I paid 600 VND for the cab car ride, water park and buffet. It was a waste of money. They play this horrible elevator music at the beach and the buffet, which is absolutely nothing special.
Go for the cable car ride for 300 VND and skip everything else it sucks. I spent a total of 40 minutes there and could not wait to leave. It is so cheesey they make you walk thru all of their gift shops just to get to the exit platform.
You would be better off hanging out at any of Phu Quocs beaches.

Still excellent value but the price has gone up from 150,000 vnd to 300,000. If you are going from Duong Dong, take the blue number 11 bus, it stops anywhere for you, it costs 20,000 to the airport or 40,000 to the cable car every 20 minutes. Quite manic at the cable station and the free buggy to the beach area but don't be put off, still worth the hassle. Last cable car and last bus back is 5.30pm.

Loved it! I highly recommend doing this cable car while visiting Phu Quoc, the views from the cable car are absolutely spectacular. Very reasonably priced, tickets can be purchased either in advance or on arrival. Direct access to the Aquatopia Waterpark from the cable car. Such a great day out

I went on this trip only for the cable car. My impression was very good especially on the way back, since I was alone in the car and able to hear the loudspeaker. On the way out I went with a group of 7 adults and 6 children. They were chinese and I think they thought that they had paid for the cable car for their own use. The children were screaming, running around like crazy and the patents didnt say or do anything at all. That spoild a lot of the tour and next time Ill look out for this kind of “group”. I can highly recommend taking this tour.

This cable car is incredible! The 20 minute ride goes over a fishing village and islands and more water and it’s a marvel. The views and feeling of floating above the water is amazing. We also came last year in October, but we did it again, this time to go to the water park at the end, Aquatopia, which just opened. It’s a great water park. Our kids had so much fun, so did I haha. Our second time in the cable car was just as amazing. You buy a round ticket, hold onto your ticket to get back. It’s closed between 12-1:30 which is a long time, so plan your arrival!

A shameless complete and utter tourist trap. The views from the cable car are breathtaking of course, but they managed to make it the secondary experience. When you enter they make buy a ticket that includes a round trip on the cable car and entry to the water park, and since the cable car does not operate 24/7 you have to spend several hours at the tacky and abnoxious water park. I don’t think even children could find something to like about this place, and it’s even worse considering most of the rides were closed. Just an unpleasant place to be in, at least the beach inside the park was very nice.
Moreover, the entire area surrounding the entrance to the cable car is a city completely made up of buildings that are supposed to look like an Italian beach town. An attempt to attract wealthy foreigners to buy vacation condos I assume. They are mostly if not completely empty, giving the place the feeling of a ghost town.
Very disappointed, giving how cool the place sounds on the surface.
The place is too commercial, designed tastelessly and generally is unpleasant to be in.

This an experience not to missed for travellers to Phu Quoc, The cable car journey is nearly 8klms long and is certified by Guinness as the longest three rope cable car ride in the world, from Phu Quoc main island to Pineapple island.
Your journey commences at a mock Roman building, next to an Italian village, where the super modern cable car gondolas depart, these cars can seat up to thirty passengers but on our visit this was limited to fifteen.
The car sweeps over a local fishing village where a multitude of boats can be seen at anchor, rising above some smaller the islands the super smooth ride takes ap. 25 mins. before it drops down on Pineapple island where can be found bars and restaurants, full beach side facilities including a huge floating bouncy attraction.
The water park was undergoing some upgrades on our visit and was closed to the public.
Do make sure you do not loose your ticket for the return journey as a new ticket will be required.

The cable car seemed to be driven by massive investments and when it has all been completed it is really going to be the top attraction of the island. We experienced taking the cable car was really good with fantastic views and at the destination we were surprised with a Hawaii show. If we should go again we will bring our swim wear and spent time in the aqua land next to the Hawaii park.
