From the entrance ( after getting the ticket) you need to walk down 116 stairs to get to the waterfall area. Well, it's beautiful to see. It is located in green mountain area with fresh air. The location is not far from solo city, about 10 km north east Solo.

If you fall in this 2 categories, then Curug Jumog is the best alternatives for grojogan sewu
1. you search for waterfall which is not to far from the parking area
2. Less tourists

Jumog is located near the parking area and has only 160 ladder steps compare with "1000" on Curug Sewu. Even if you tired on the way back to parking area, you will find many chair for resting a while and restore energy.

Even in the holiday seasons, we still able to find a nice spots to enjoy the waterfall, the river and even the small swimming pool for the children.

Beside the higher Grojogan Sewu, this Jumog Waterfall is a must visit waterfall in Tawangmangu area.

We visited this waterfall during the fasting month 2017, so the place was so empty.., barely any people coming, so we were enjoying the serene and peaceful surrounding there.

I was driving my own car to visit Jumog, somewhere around 1 km before reaching the place, there was a road intersection mentioning "Upper Access" and "Lower Access". I decided to take the "Upper Access".

Once reaching the parking lot, we walk about 100 m to reach the ticket booth, and then we have to climbed down 116 stairs... so it was ok... When we finish the 116 stairs, we could see that there was a car parked there..., so I believe that car must have come thru the "Lower Access".

A very enjoyable waterfall..., must visit.

Went here with the kids and my parents. The road to reach this waterfall seemed to be a bit challenging especially during peak season due to traffic jam. But the trip to come was worth it. The view was so beautiful. Paddy field and mountains surrounding. Amazing scenery indeed. The Jumog waterfall was great too. I saw food stalls serving customers just around the bend. Sitting down eating meals whilst your hair felt the shower from the cold mountain water from the waterfall... memorable.

If you’re already in the area and visiting places, this waterfall is worth visiting cos it is easy to reach from the main road; entry fee is cheap (less than 20K IDR), there are small restaurants in the entrance area (but they were all closed when I was there). There is a big swimming pool, water is quite cold though. The walk to the waterfall is easy, just a tiny hike but only like 5 mins from the entry gate.
The waterfall itself is not massive, but it is pretty. Lush green view around it, it’s well maintained and clean.

We drove to the area to visit the Hindu temples, tea plantation and this waterfall. It's a short walk walk to get to the waterfall from The parking lot...about a 300 feet. The surroundings around the waterfall are beautiful and so peaceful. It was not crowded when we visited and I enjoyed walking through the stream to get closer to the waterfall. Well worth seeing when in this area.

This is the place I would recommend anyone to visit. Located at the foot of Mount Lawu, this place is so relaxing: it still has natural beauty, surrounded by lush vegetation and what makes it more beautiful is the water flows downward creating stream terraces. Here, we can rent a spot at the bank of the stream where you can roll out a mat to sit on while enjoying little snack. If you start your travel from Solo, you need to go for approx. 40 km eastward by direction to Tawangmangu and follow the sign post available.
