A family owned distillery that produces multi award winning NB Gin and NB Rum. Anchored in the beautiful coastal town of North Berwick, on the east coast of Scotland, NB Distillery offers a unique and luxury visitor experience to learn, sample and relax on our fabulous Ginspiration Tours or just pop by to visit the distillery, see the majestic copper stills and buy at great prices from the Cellar Door Shop. Awarded 5 Stars by Visit Scotland. NB Gin is the perfect, 'no-nonsense' gin. Expertly balanced, clean, fresh and wonderfully smooth. It was voted World's Best London Dry Gin in 2015, selected by the Royal Family on two monumental occasions and served at the Brit Awards for three consecutive years. We were met by Dorothy and given a very warm welcome. She took us through the history of the distillery which was very interesting. The gin we tasted was superb and a credit to the owners. Liked the little twists on a couple of the gins and looking forward to the rum production. A must do visit when in North Berwick, highly recommended.

Fabulous experience
What a fabulous experience we had last week on the NB distillery tour. My wife and I were spending a few days in the area and had pre booked the tour. Being a Wednesday evening, We were the only people on it. Although a small distillery, we were given a great tour and very interesting explanation of its history, which includes some interesting photos in the upstairs lounge area. This is where the tasting takes place and it's been designed rather like a sophisticated, yet comfortable lounge-style bar with comfy sofas and fantastic views - one direction over the surrounding countryside; the other over the distillery plant area!
Our guide for the tour was fantastic. She really knew her stuff was knowledgeable and friendly and was also able to talk to us about the history of NB distillery.
I particularly enjoyed the tasting!! Especially, the Navy Strength which doesn't require tonic at all. So why is it called 'navy strength'? You'll have to book on the tour to find out! Well worth it.

What a fantastic evening spent in the company of our tour guide Alison. A warm welcome awaited us with a roaring log fire. We then received a welcome NB gin and Bon Accord tonic, with a slice of grapefruit and a basil leaf. So refreshing and easy to drink. We then heard the history of NB gin and the direction they have taken since they found their perfect recipe. The need to take your chances as they arise and be in the right place at the right time came through strongly. Onwards to a tour of the actual distillery and meeting “Gloria”. From there to the tasting lounge. Whilst the wind was rattling the roof and the windows, we were very well cared for and given the opportunity to taste 3 NB gins and then select one of our favourites for the final drink. All in all a great night, Alison was a constant companion ensuring all our needs were met and having the best chat! Before we left we bought a bottle of the limited edition Samphire gin, our suggestion get it whilst you can. Thanks Alison and a brief thanks to Stephen for his congeniality, wishing you all every success with the business. Cannot recommend a tour highly enough.

We came across this distillery by mistake and went into the shop. Very nice chap that told us the story of the gin. We tried a sample and bought a couple of bottles...very nice gin!

A very pleasant 90 min your with the opportunity to see how their gins are made and have several tastings.
Good gin as well which was a bonus 😊
Luckily out accomodation was in walking distance, suggest a nominated driver or book a taxi.
The distillery tour itself was engaging and interesting and provides an insight in to the whole process.

The rain threw off our plans a bit and they let us come to the tour an hour early. They were incredibly accommodating and helped us sort through a transportation issue. Basically we were a hot mess and they were unflappable.
The tour was very informative and fun. You could tell they had a passion for gin and the company. It was fun for all, even for the non-drinker in the group!

We thoroughly enjoyed our gin tasting visit and can highly recommend it to all gin lovers. We were invited to sample more gin than I expected (no small measures here) and the event had been put together with a great deal of care and attention. Loved it.

Had a lovely tour with friends sampling all of the wonderful Gin's and Vodka that NB produces. Their new Samphire Gin went down a treat too!
The actual tour part of the tour itself does not take long as the distillery is very small, but the amount of information they provide is incredible.
Well worth the £25 which included a welcome drink, 4 more drinks after the tour, and one more for the road. You would struggle to get 6 drinks of that quality for under £25 in most bars these days!
A must visit when you head to NB!

Is the shop definitely open on Saturdays? We’ve just driven up and it looks closed up. Ourselves and another car turned away.
