Samshvilde is a ruined fortified city and archaeological site in Georgia and is a beautiful place to make a light walk along still remaining central street. Further are partly destroyed, but still very beautiful fortress, beautiful tiny still functioning churches and ruins of greater church. In far end of the town is a very beautiful view to the place of merging of two rivers. There were plenty of very big eagles could be observed in eye level. Best to visit during early spring time and late autumn. In summertime there were very high grass, so many artefacts are hidden, as well it will be snakes as well, so it is recommended to wear appropriate shoes ant trousers and make some noise when going through the grassy areas.

Samshvilde is without doubt hidden gem in Georgia offering a beautiful Khrami river canyon along with medieval Samshvilde church. I am a bit surprised that there is only one feedback to it and therefore decided to add one which usually I did not do in the past :)...
