    Prepare to be wowed!
We are road tripping around Norway and decides that we had to go to see this lookout. We were glad we did! We drove over from Oslo in the morning and the views on the drive were INCREDIBLE. I had read reviews that driving yourself up was scary, so we decided not to do that. We booked a van ride up to the lookout with Norway’s Best. It was an easy way to get up to the lookout without us having to worry about dodging cars. We met at Flam, which is a neat area. The drive up is very curvy and if someone gets carsick; it may not be the best for you. The lookout is beautiful and well worth it.

    Stegasteing provides amazing view.
One of the most amazing views in Norway. After driving a very narrow road for about 20 minutes from Flam, you will get to this engineering wonder overlooking the fjord. There is, unfortunately too few parking spots and the place might be crowded (as it was for us while we visited in July. The toilet has a view too!! You can probably skip it if the weather is too cloudy, you might not see much.

    mesmerizing viewpoint
This place is one of the most amazing view points in Norway. Its simply mesmerizing. This place is a must visit if you are staying in Flåm area or nearby. The road to this viewpoint is very narrow and steep but gives you terrific scenic views. When you reach at this point, the view is out of the world and unbelievable !! You should definitely go to this viewpoint..

    Breathtaking views!
Stegastein viewpoint is a must see if you’re in the Aurland area. The views were breathtaking! The platform itself is an engineering marvel. We had 30 minutes to enjoy the view before heading back down the mountain. There are even views from the back side of the public bathrooms. We were also happy to see goats grazing on grass below the platform. We booked our excursion through VisitNorway.com and so glad we did. The roads are very narrow and our driver had to back up or wait for on coming traffic to pass before he could continue. We met our shuttle bus in the village of Flam right outside their tourist office. The total length of our excursion was one hour and a half.

    Spectacular views
A must see when you are in the area. I took the local electric bus tour from Flam (booked as an addon to my Norway in a Nutshell itinerary). Felt very safe winding up the hairpin bends. Great views on the way up and back and you get about 30 minutes at the lookout which is plenty to get some good photos and take in the spectacular views.

Well worth a visit, spectacular view and photos.
Well worth a visit. We booked online a shuttle up to the viewpoint. Quick trip but was very plenty of time to wind up the steep hills to get there and battle the selfie crowd taking photos at the edge. Magnificent views and great photo op. Recommend.

Stunning views from the lookout. The road up there is very narrow though so be prepared for some very careful driving.

Great view! We travelled by car, and barely got a parking spot. We were early an it was not too crowded. We passed some hours later and the place was packed.

Our trip was cancelled the day before due to a rock avalanche. While I completely understand needing to cancel this tour, the options provided were not at all comparable to what we paid for the Stegastein lookout tickets. We were given 2 options: see the Gudvangen Viking Village (which we had already bought tickets and done) or a trip to the town of Undredal. There was no option to receive a refund even when we asked. In order not to completely lose all the money we spent on the Stegastein lookout, we opted for the Undredal village visit. We were herded into a small bus however there was miscommunication about how many people were going and not everyone would fit on the mini bus. We were then moved to a larger bus which reeked of cigarette smoke… terrible experience. Offer a refund when you are not able to give the tour. Still trying to seek a refund if possible.
