Spent the day at Isla Parida as part of a Windstar Cruise. It is a beautiful beach in a protected bay. Superb swimming in warm, clean water.

Come and visit this area of the country. It is so good to be up in the hills and the mountains to breath fresh air and to do a zillion hikes. There are many hotels in Boquete and also some in Volcan. In Boquete you can go out to various restaurants and they have bars and all. Do a coffee tour and go to the butterfly house. I personally don't like David. Too crowded and too much traffic.

Chiriqui Province is one of the wonderful places to visit in the Republic of Panama. First it has the Hotel Bambito, in Volcan, which is comfortable and beautiful, although it needs a bit of updating and some attention to its restaurant, but the views are breathtaking. Then in the area of Boquete there are a number of hotels, best are Los Establos (only breakfast served) and the Hotel Panamonte, a small hotel with excellent cuisine. I have seen the cabins at Valle Escondido but have not stayed in them, they look lovely. Lots of small hotels in the area. Chiriqui also has a beach hotel called Las Olas. Stayed there and although the rooms are modern, the food is not great. All in all it is a province where tourists can go for a few days if they want to leave Panama City and see another province.
