you start at the laundromat, hike to the gun emplacement, turn around and return. The rest of the trail is poorly maintained with poor signage and no views. Very strenuous ups and downs along the ridge line that ends at an outhouse and abandoned shanty...More

This hike is short and was recommended by the NPS employees, published as 0.6mi roundtrip. We were disappointed by the view, although the old cannon was cool. The World War II Heritage Trail begins right behind the cannon, which we also did that day.
