I loved Tiwanaku after reading about it for years. We were among only a few people there and the place is well worth the considerable effort, including hours of hassle at the border if you are from the USA.

It costs 100 bolivianos per person which is expensive in Bolivia and there's not a lot of things to see.... I'm really wondering where the money is going because the explanations are very short and don't really bring a plus, the place is bad maintained...More
