So looking forward to seeing this island but really felt not worth the train ride from Da Nang and the boat ride to the island. Great views of garlic fields but that is about all and we certainly didn’t go there expecting high class accomodation....More

The first consideration for travelers when visiting Lý sơn is car sick and boat sick. It took me nearly 5 hours by bus and another hour on high speed canoe. And believe me it is absolutely exhausted. The prices of accommodation was not really a...More

A very beautiful island. Should spend at least 1 full day and night for Đảo lớn (the main island) and 1 full day for Đảo bé (An Binh island). The scuba diving tour is amazing (be well prepared if you are sea-sick type).

We took the train at 7:50 am from Da Nang to Quang Ngai, which took about 2h45min. We bought the sleeper seat for about 180k VND per person. It’s well worth it to have some sort of privacy, and since the ride is not very...More

Ly Son Island is indeed beautiful. The island offers an exquisite experience of simple living. This island produces the most expensive shallots and garlic in Vietnam. You will never miss to see these great plantations because you need to pass through them to get to...More

Binh Yen hotel is a good budget hotel. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s right by the Pier where the boats are. Also close to the restaurants and one of the main attractions (cong to vo ~ 15 min walk)

As I remember, there is a morning ferry back to Sa Ky at 7 or 7:30, and it takes 1 hour to arrive Sa Ky. From Sa Ky to Chu Lai is another 1 hour....so, I don't think you can arrive the airport in time for your 9:30 flight
