Freedive Nusa is the freediving school on Nusa Penida island and Freediving Instructor Training Center with a strong and professional team of instructors. The School is located just 20 meters from the beach. Freedive Nusa offers freediving courses and freedive training for all levels from total beginners to top-level instructors, breath-hold workshops for surfers, equipment rental, etc. The School organizes freedive and snorkeling trips to awesome Manta Rays, trips around the island, and unique freediving trips around Indonesia.

It was simply amazing.
I did 3 Raja Ampat trips this february and it was soo much more than I could ever have expected. Both Kirill and Hamza are two genuinely kind and truly amazing humans and they always made sure, that everyone is comfortable and safe.
Everything was thought throught and very well organized. Of course sometimes people in Raja Ampat are not very punctual, but even if we somedays had to wait 1-2 h for the boat, that was no problem. It is island time after all and you are never in a rush and you most certainly will never get bored. I think trip is good for beginner freedivers, more experienced freedivers and snorkellers too. If you do not have your own equipment you wil be provided high standard rental equipment.
You have to be aware, that living conditions in Raja Ampat are really simple. You do not have any hot water for showering, often there is no AC and electricity is usually only from 6PM to 6AM, that being said, it is really no problem at all, as you are anyways hardly in your rooms, and you are mostly out in the water, or exploring the islands.
During our stay we visited the islands of Kri, Arborek, Batanta and Misool.
The reefs in Raja Ampst sre 100% the best reefs I have ever seen. There is soo many colours, fish, animals, corals and just absolute pristinity. The homereefs on both Kri and Arborek were absolutely stunning ans accessible by pier from the homestay. On Kri we could even watch sharks and dolphins from our dining area.
In Batanta we had our very own manta point at our homereef, where we could spend our time with these gentle giants, after a short swim from our homestay. Misool is crazy too! For me the underwater life is by far not as nice as the other islands we visited, but you will get the unique chance to freedive in a lake full of stingless jellyfish. And let me tell you, this is really a once in a lifetime opportunity. On Misool you also get the typical Raja Ampat landscape above the water with all the little islands, it is absolutely breathtaking!

Unforgettable) I took the wave 1 course here and stayed diving for a few more days. Thanks to instructor Artem for teaching me how to work with breathing in a new way and feel safe while holding a dive.
The course consisted of theory, breathing exercises, practice in the pool and practice in the ocean. The course was so complete and intense that I had dreams about diving too)) For the first 2 days I couldn’t blow in an inverted position and go down the rope, and even more so without the rope in my fins. Artem suggested purging exercises. I blew up balloons and came to school early to hang upside down in a hammock. And on the third day everything worked out)) The maximum dive was 15 m, a comfortable dive (when you can hang below a little, think about the technique of working with fins, the position of the head, hands, turning and a bunch of nuances that you need to remember) - 12 m. And Artem also suggested techniques on how to make the longest delay after inhalation and (something I worked on for a very long time) after exhalation. The standard time has almost doubled. It simply changes the idea of your capabilities. Very cool for surfers. One day after the course I happened to go to Niko when a big swell came and the waves were 7 feet. One wave covered me and lowered me down to the reef, it felt like 6-7 meters (it took me a long time to surface). And then I realized that I was no longer panicking. Well, ok, now I’ll float up, raised my hand and quickly found myself on the surface with positive buoyancy))
And yes, the most important thing) it’s very beautiful) you look at the pros who dived 30 m or more, and became less and less noticeable in the water) some incredible spectacle. And after freediving, we went to the reef to snorkel. I saw a school of dolphins very close to us😍 and the reef itself is incredibly beautiful. I’ll definitely be back to Penida for school)

I’ve first done my level 1 freediving 4 years ago with freedive nusa and recently my level 2 course
And I couldn’t be happier with the school and it’s instructors. This course I was guided and taught by kirril and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and quickly recognised my capabilities and limitations and tailored the course accordingly. Leaving the course satisfied with new personal bests and new friends made. I will be back for sure to do my master course and can’t recommend this school enough to anyone who wants try out freediving or to further train their skills in the water.
And I couldn’t be happier with the school and it’s instructors. This course I was guided and taught by kirril and he was extremely professional, knowledgeable and quickly recognised my capabilities and limitations and tailored the course accordingly. Just came back from a 5 days liveaboard experience in Komodo. Words can not express how incredible it was and how fun we had! Kirill did an amazing job organizing everything, he created a great itinerary to have the best experience. We freedived in amazing spots, reef was healthy and full of marine life. We saw sharks, turtles, mantas and so many colorful fishes. We also hiked up Padar Island and saw the famous Komodo Dragon. Everything was so well organized, the boat was gorgeous with amazing facilities and the food oh my god, delicious! Wish we could have stayed on the boat for an entire month! Thank you Freedive Nusa for this amazing experience! Highly recommended

Where do I even start…
I did join the 10 day Raja Ampat Tour.
I loved every second of this trip. Hands down one of the best experiences in my life. I will never forget this one !
A few words to Raja Ampat:
It truly is a paradise. You have to see it with your own eyes to believe it. The underwater world is so colorful and alive and vivid. We saw oceanic manta rays, wobbegong sharks and countless turtles. We even went for night dives and saw some crazy bioluminescence.
The accommodation was basic but beautiful in its own way. It was always clean and plenty of food.
It felt like a true wildlife expedition.
A few words to the people:
I really really enjoyed my group. It was a lovely bunch of people from around the world and we share our love for the ocean. I hope to see them again sometimes.
Kirill and Hamza who organised the trip are truly amazing individuals. Even though I obviously paid money for the trip, I felt like I was friends with both of them and I also hope I see them again. The trip was really well organised to the last detail and everything worked perfectly. Underpromised and overdelivered :). Kirill even managed to get a lost luggage item which was left behind in Jakarta , to be sent to the remote island of kri!
Hamza and kirill trained everyone to a solid skill level of freediving so we could all really enjoy the wonders of raja Ampat.
To finally sum it up:
I would book this trip again in an instant!
Hamza and Kirill are probably already out again in raja Ampat with a new crew. I wish them all the best !

How to dive deep? How to inhale? How to relax? How can you enjoy the underwater world when you have no sources of oxygen other than your body? I got all the answers I needed in freedivenusa. Here I took an initial freediving course and was pleased with everything, especially with my own results and feelings. A superbly designed course, theory, practice - the perfect balance, and every day of training diving in the open ocean. Excellent organization of dives, you discover your capabilities in a safe, comfortable environment and dive into deep blue water.

Kirill and his team were amazing guides. We dived with mantas and did depth training in Pedina, then travelled to Komodo for 5 days of island hopping on a rustic liveaboard.
It was a trip of a lifetime!! Beautiful locations and dives, safe and knowledgeable staff, and a plethora of marine life. The food on board the boat was excellent and plentiful. I highly recommend Freedive Nusa as a way to improve your skills and have a spectacular and memorable adventure. Thanks so much to Kirill, Hamsa and the team 😊

What a fantastic week with Sabli. He knew exactly when to ressure and when to push me. I was aiming for 25m and dreaming of 30m. Sabli helped me to achieve my dream. Would recommend Freedive Nusa to anyone, either just starting out freediving or furthering their experience

I specifically came to Nusa Penida to swim with Mantas—I was not expecting it to be as exceptional as this. On a small boat, we travelled to manta point, where we we were guided by experienced divers on how to free dive. I chose to upgrade to the photo package with Gaston (worth EVERY penny! ) where, in a small group of 3, we got absolutely stunning photos underwater with a school on manta rays. The team followed by serving us tea, and bringing us to two other awesome locations, where we got to dive next to coral reefs and turtles. The experience as four hours total. Best day ever!
