Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Me personally didn't like this place too much. Jaflong is very dusty due to several stone mines. Boat rides are very popular to go around the river and watching the miner's hard work. A tribal village (which doesn't look so tribal actually) on the other river side can be visited as well.

We visited Juflong in the third week of April,2014 along with nearby spots - Tamabil and Sylhet City.Juflong is an attractive tourist destination of Sylhet Division of Bangladesh which is 60 KM far from Sylhet city.It is a two hours drive from Sylhet city. Juflong is really a scenic spot nearby the tea gardens and rolling stones. It is situated besides the river MARI in the lap of Hill 'Khashia'.The river comes from the great Himalayas of India which brings millions of stone boulders. The spot stands on the border line of Bangladesh and India.Millions of national and international tourists visit the spot every year. The main attraction of this spot is its scenic beauty,Hills and Hanging bridge in Indian part,Stone collection,Crystal clear water,Bathing in cold water and Boating. The nearby spots are Tamabil ( Bangladesh-India Check post ),Sripur ( Waterfall ) and Jaintapur ( The tribe's Kingdom ).There is no necessity to stay at Juflong. It is better to stay at Sylhet city for better accommodation and foods.

We visited Jaflong in second week of July, 2016 along with nearby spots - Tamabil and Lalakhal. Jaflong is an attractive tourist destination of Sylhet, which is about 60 km far from Sylhet city. It is a two-hour drive from Sylhet city. It is situated at the border between Bangladesh and Meghalaya, India.
Jaflong is situated beside the river Piyain and overshadowed by mountains and rain-forests. The river originates from the great Himalayas of India which brings millions of stone boulders. It's home for Khasia tribe.
Nearby tourist attractions are Bangladesh-India check post at Tamabil, hanging bridge of Dauki town over the river, 'Aakhta' water fall, Lalakhal blue water canal and Khasia's Kingdom at Jaintapur.
We enjoyed the stay at Jaflong.

As a first time traveller in Sylhet, I was really taken back on the beautiful clarity of the water. Went there with some of my cousins (All adults/teens) which made the shallow boat so great. Unfortunately we had very short time at hand but we made every min count, although would have been great to spend the whole day!

The cold crystal clear water and the rocky bed of Jaflong, gives you a special feeling. Sitting on the rocks with your legs dipped in water, is something really soothing. Must visit place for everyone visiting sylhet.

Jaflong, Sylhet is one of the most visited tourist destination of Bangladesh. It is very nice spot if you like to walk. Lots of natural beauties to see. Road sides are full of attraction. It takes about 1.30 min to 2 hours to get there from Sylhet City. I would suggest you go out early morning by 6 am. You should take some foods and water with you.
Sylhet - Jaflong Road is good, but last 7 miles before reaching Jaflong tourist spot is very badly broken.
***When you reach there you will see lots of tour guides ( you don't need them) and boat to corss the river. Don't reserve a boat for hours, rather for corss the river only (10-20 taka each time/per person).
* You will see a indian hang bridge from the river, about 15-20 km far.
** Don't miss the waterfalls.
****You MUST take Umbrella for everyone. Sun is to hot and that will burnt you out. Try to ware full sleeve clothes. You have walk a lot over there, going down to the hill and coming back, I seriously mean that. About 5-8 miles to see around the spot.
** CNG from City to Jaflong for round trip is cost around 1300 to 1700 taka. It is better to reserve a CNG or car. You can go by Bus too (60 taka from Ambar khana).
*** Choose winter time to save yourself from the hot Sun and rain...

This place is little far from sylhet city. We went for a sight scene trip to this place.it took close to one and half hour to reach their by jeep. This is mainly a river which is coming from India through Meghalaya state. You can find lots of stones beside river. People were collecting stones from river this is also one profession and business here. River is really nice with clean green cold water. If you want you can take a bath also. You can move around the river with engine boat. From this place you can see Indian side where you can see one hanging bridge which was really very nice. Being an Indian to see India from another country border it was amazing for all of us.

I went there with my family and cousins during our visit to sylhet. It took almost 2hours to reach there since the road condition was very bad. I went there before in 2000, I think it was prettier and less crowded back then. I regretted not going there during monsoon. It was not bad visit, but not everything I expected. I really liked the clear water.

Once upon a time, Jafflong was a very good tourist attraction. Now a days, the excessive stone harvesters, stone crasher machines and dalals have ruined the place.

Now requesting me to visit Jaflong and Bsnakandi with my 7 Months kid,
Can you please share the current condition of Sylhet-Jaflong , Jaflong - Bisnaknadi and Bisnakandi - Sylhet Road ?
Thanks in advance

Condition is still same. But Upto Jaflong tolerable, beyond is terrible.

The best way is to board on a bus which will take you to Sylhet, after reaching sylhet, if you want to enjoy the natural beauty then board on a local bus from Ambarkhana, or if you're on a hurry then take a CNG to Jaflong.

Distance information form Sylhet city to the places will be helpful to make a plan for the visitors. Like I cannot find how far the Bachnakafi from Sylhet city?
