Make a reservation! Wonderful food, great wine, but most importantly a fantastic family passionate about their small but very high quality vineyard. We got to taste the no label amphora wine which was could compete with a fine Barolo. Mum does the cooking. Very good. Spent two wonderful hours and would really recommend! Love from England and Wales!

My friend and I took a trip to Armenia and spent our last day going out to Khor Virap. Tushpa Wine Cellars is about a 5 minute drive away. We signed up for a tasting, tour and lunch and it was the absolute BEST. Ani who is the daughter of this family owned and operated vineyard/winery was our host as she spoke perfect English. We arrived there about 20 minutes early and Ani's mother greeted us and apologized for not speaking English (but her English was totally fine) and that Ani would be there shortly. Ani gave us a very good tour of their facility and then had us taste the wine her brother and father both made. The wines were great! They were better than any wines we had in Georgia! We then ate a homemade lunch which was out of this world. It's the best meal we had on our whole 2 weeks trip. The amount of food for 2 people was unbelievable. It was the perfect way to end our trip. Do yourself a favor and go to Tushpa Wine Cellars ASAP!

we've stopped here for a short break when travelling to Tatev, but the memories will last for months, even years. the taste of their wine made us love this place. we almost went nuts when they served the food, that was a perfect pairing with the dry red wine we had. on top of all, we had the owner guiding us around telling us colorful stories. at first we thought he was exaggerating, but when we saw the certificate of gratitude from Pope Francis, ah maaan... that means something when Pope Francis gives you thank you letter for your wine. so, definitely visit the place, it's worth it! btw the prices were surprisingly affordable, even cheap compared to other wineries and restaurants we've been to during those 2 weeks in armenia.

Armenian family winery with testing for 2 tupes of wine- fantastic Armenian Red wine from Haghtanak and white wine from Kangun. You can also test Armenian 7-years cognac. Unbelievable!
Nice place with view of mountain Ararat, and interesting excursion through the winery. Wine testing also was interesting with Armenian cheese and fruits.
Highly-highly recommended!

Our visit to Tushpa Wine Cellar, was the last stop on a long day trip from Yerevan. The wine cellar is in a lovely stone building , with a beautiful view of Mount Ararat. We were greeted by our host, who took us through the wine cellar and explained about the wine production. He was very knowledgable and spoke great English, so it was easy to follow the tour.
We then sat down to taste the wines they produced. We sat at a large table (since we were a group of 11), where they had put out an assortment of local cheeses and bread, which all went well with the wines we were served. We tasted red, white and Muscat wine. Sad to say, they only had the red wine for sale. All wines were very good and we bought all bottles he had to offer. He also presented us a brandy they made too, which also was very good. If you ever are in Yerevan and would like to visit a wine cellar, Tushpa is a good place to visit.

A must-see place which I highly recommend to visit while you are in the heart of Ararat Valley! A week ago I had the honor and pleasure to tour this wonderful wine cellar guided by the super friendly owner Karlen who told us some fascinating stories about the ancient traditions of wine making in Armenia and their story. As a professional guide in Armenia who promotes wine tours in Armenia I consider this winery the most special for a number of reasons. They produce excellent quality wine and cognac which both me and my travelers loved! And I can appreciate really good wines having been to almost all wineries in Armenia! I was impressed by the hospitality, warmth and friendliness of the owner which made our visit even more memorable and a very unique experience.
Thank you, Karlen! We will be back many more times!
