Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An adrenalin rush from start to finish. Loved the scenery. Loved the acceleration, loved the powered manoeuvres circling and the very witty Mark who made the trip so enjoyable . We didn't want it to stop. All very safe. Superb value. We will do the double tour next time

Brilliant experience. James certainly knows how to use that big Merlin engine. We will most definitely book again.

I have done this trip a few times now with friends and family. Great experience and a fabulous lunch in The Green Man pub too. The trip is also priced very reasonably.
Our host is great fun and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas, really makes for a fun day out.
I would highly recommend giving this tour a try!

A really good value and exhilarating boat trip with Jamie. Nice stop for lunch in Bradwell. Our kids (13 & 10) loved the fast paced boat ride as did we both. Would highly recommend.

The wife and I wanted a boat trip during our visit, and there's a few to choose from. We decided on the Rib Tour, and boy did we have a fantastic time.

We started off with a lazy chug out of the harbour keeping to the required 8 knot speed limit. But, as soon as we got out in the open, the skipper throttled up the 225hp V6 and the Rib just launched! The speed is instant, racing across the water at about 30 knots.

The skipper definitely loves his boat/job as he was smiling and having fun, as well as constantly checking we were okay. He was always letting us know his intentions, whether it be just a straight acceleration, or performing fast tight turns and loops. I never knew these boats were so manoeuvrable! The sound of the V6 was gorgeous!

During the hour long trip we visited the infamous Radio Caroline ship - well, floated by, an infamous rehab centre, and had a great view of the longest row of beach huts I have ever seen!

The tour is both interesting and exhilarating! The wife an I sat right at the back, there was loads of spray during the fast manoeuvres, but we did not get wet. I did get a slightly wet bottom, but then again, I was leaning out during the turns and sticking my hand in the rushing foam!

On our way back to the harbour, the skipper spotted a porpoise and he cut the V6 right away, and we sat bobbing up and down trying to spot it again. We were all eagerly staring at the water wanting to see it.

We did a slow circuit of the area in the hope we would get a glimpse, and finally, when we gave up and continued our journey back, the porpoise showed itself. Breaking the surface, and diving again. Everyone was well chuffed we got to see it!

The tour cost us £75 for the two of us, but I would pay it again and again, as it was epic!

I would certainly recommend this tour but not for those with back problems as it could get bumpy out on the sea when going fast. James out boat captain was very knowledgable about this location. Going by car could be a problem as there is limited parking space close to Mersea Jetty. Arrive early and parking spaces MAY be available There nice cafe opposite the jetty with food available for those who want a breakfast or just a cuppa

No difficulties re booking this event and always kept up to date. James thank you for a great experience and for the fun factor.
