Making really great single malt whisky in England is paramount to what we stand for here at St. George's. Why England? Why not? We have fantastic water in the Breckland aquifer beneath our feet, we have the barley, the maltings, the yeast and now the distillery. We don't add colour, we don't add flavour, we let the barrels do that for us. Our whisky is batch made by hand with no computers, matured in fine casks, bottled on site using our own water and is non chill-filtered. We are really proud of these things and believe you will taste the difference too. The Distillery is open daily from 9am - 5.30Pm throughout the year (with the exception of Christmas day, Boxing day, New Year's day), running regular tours of the working part of the distillery.

Four of us visited on Fathers Day for the fixed menu and it was pretty decent value, however some of the 'homemade' stuff appeared to be brought in and the nut roast was very over cooked, and gravy lumpy. I realise that this is a...More

On visiting the kitchen, the large breakfast was overpriced and over cooked. £10.95 you would expect at least two bits of toast and the bacon well (bacon rashes) was well over conked. Jacket potatoe was yesterday’s potatoe without a doubt. Wouldn’t recommended the food.

Ordered the sweet chilli chicken baguette. A waste of money. Hardly any sweet chilli sauce and baguette as dry as a bone. Beef dripping fries - nothing to write home about. The big breakfast - a big expense. Took 40 minutes to be brought to...More

I called in while on a cycling holiday. The distillery tour only cost £10, it includes tea/coffee at the start and finishes with whisky tasting. The shop is well stocked with English and international whisky plus other bits and bobs. I’d recommend it to anyone...More

From the welcoming staff to the informative tour, St George’s Distillery is definitely worth visiting. We did the £10 tour which lasts an hour and tells you all you need to know about the company and it’s whisky production. Joy was a great tour guide,...More

Informative and welcoming staff and a nice relaxed tour. Rounded off with a good value lunch as part of the package. Oh and the whiskey is great too 😀

We travel from Norwich to Portsmouth three to four times a year. Unfortunately our usual breakfast stop has burnt down. Being a regular visitor we decided to give their bistro a try. A previous visit failed to impress. This time the place was clean and...More

There are quite a few steps to negotiate. Call the Distillery and ask how they might accommodate you. They are extremely helpful and would want you to get as much at of their tour as possible.
