San Jose was once described in The Guardian as a ‘somewhat chic’ resort; just classy enough without being pretentious. That’s the perfect description. Wonderful place; always relaxing.

San Jose is a little gem of a town sitting on the edge of a national park. It's hardly developed at all, which means it is both inexpensive and not crowded at all. And you are just a 10-minute walk from some of the best...More

Without doubt this area is one of my favorite places to visit in the whole of Spain (and I have visited nearly all of them in the last 20years). It's wild raw nature at its best. Hire a bike, horse trek or simply walk to...More

San Jose was a good visit, it is a typical Spanish resort with a nice sweeping sandy beach, small marina and several restaurants, mainly fish restaurants, there are other options nearer to the town area. The resort is on the Cabo de Gata peninsula and...More

This area is stunning but let's get the plastic bashing issue out of the way first. There are literally miles and miles of plastic greenhouses from Motril to Almeria and beyond. The plastic explosion is because of us though. We want 4 harvests a year,...More

Wonderful wild beaches sorrounded by hills and cliffs give you the possibility to great snorkeling, body surfing and wind surfing. San Jose is an old fishing village surrounded by hills and the view from most houses are magnificent. The village has developped into a tourist...More

Beaches are fantastic in Cabo de Gata. Nothing to do with beaches in Alicante or whereever in Mediterranean coast in Spain. Here they are completely wild. Beatiful
