The Glass House Mountains are stunning from angle, but the 360 views from the top of Mt Ngungun are particularly spectacular. A bit of an arduous climb admittedly but rest when you need to and persevere - well worth the oxygen mask at the end.

Popular easy climb with great views at the top. Lots of families and suitable for younger kids but watch them at the summit. It will get your heart rate up but no big deal for average fitness level. People of all ages can do this walk, about half way you catch a glimpse across the valley to motive you to the top, it’s a great place to watch the sunset, just don’t expect to be on your own! A lot of people do this walk regularly for exercise.

Great cardio workout. Steep but doable. Amazing 360 degree views at the top. Takes about 30 to 40 mins to get to the top depending on fitness, about 20 mins if you have advance hiking skills and are fit.

With a fair bit of shade and lots of rocky outcrops to sit once you get to the top, you wind through beautiful native flora and fauna. The views halfway are great but get to the top and you are rewarded with 360 views of the hinterland and coast. Try going up at dawn or sunset for a spectacular experience. Take a water bottle and walking shoes. By the way, it is pronounced gun gun , call it ngun ngun and locals will know you are from outa town! Enjoy!…
