Kamala beach is a located south of the airport about 45 min. It's a decent beach with small shops and restaurants around. Beach is well taken care of and has beautiful views. Very close to hotels. Hyatt Regency is most notable.

I enjoyed this Resort immensely. I'm not a Resort kind of person but it's small and personable atmosphere made it feel very much at home. I will not hesitate to return for a much longer stay in the near future! Beautiful room, great friendly service.

The location of this beach is really awesome and it is very popular sight for Pre-Wedding Photoshoots.

Great for a walk at low tide. And reasonable surfing. But the SW winds brought a lot of plastic detritus every day. A shame we are trashing our oceans.

The beach here is beautiful and I spent many hours in the ocean. The life savers are very strict about swimming between the flags and as an Australian who grew up on beaches i was really happy to see this taken seriously. My only problem...More

This beach was so beautiful, mainly because it was not too crowded and hectic as patong! The sand was white and powdery, and water was clean. It was a dream

Sorry to tell you but it is a long way away so I would recommend a tuk tuk. Hope that helps.

We've just come back from the Sunprime Resort at Kamala Beach, and yes there is construction, no it's not close enough to cause issues. The only real noise was work on the pool, and that was minimal, which should be well... More
