Together with Bao'an the most impressive temple in Taipei. Very big. Do climb all the way to the terrace behind. Long walk from the metro.

It's a less touristy destination. really interesting to see how local religion thrives in modern times. Good view point to overlook the river and observe local life style along the river front. Good bird watching spot at the river mouth.

Guandu temple is a holy place of Buddhist and Taoist. The temple had numerous shrines in multi level storey. Moreover, the temple also has the tunnel to go Guanyin's temple, which located in front of the river.

This is wonderful example of a Taiwanese/Chinese Buddhist temple. The tile roofs and ornamentation is intricate and extensive. If temples hold any interest for you and if you will visit just one, this is the one.
