A more quiet and peaceful Temple. Free entrance, and the guides will happily give you a map and explain the course thru the temple. It is not very big and easy to do. Take note of the tops of the buildings. Not only are they...More

A nice temple with great views and architecture. Not crowded with tourists - so makes the visit even more enjoyable.

Visiting Dalongdong Cultural and Historical District should be part of your itinerary when you're a first-timer in Taipei. It's easy navigating the city's main transport system going to tourist spots. Here you just ride the MRT Red line 2 to Yuanshan Station. Take Exit 2...More

One of the most educational temples in Asia--perhaps a combination of a temple and a museum. Great illustrations. Dignified architecture. Peaceful. Visitors can take free souvenirs--my faves were the ones from their in-house calligrapher.

The compound where the temple is big, clean and refreshing. Aside from the temple, there is also an interactive Glyph history room. You can also have your intentions/wishes written in Red Cards by an old man in the temple.

Of all of the temples I’ve visited both here in Taiwan as well as around the world, this one ranks at the top of my list. Why? Because not only does the visitor get to immerse themselves in the teachings/religion of Confucianism, but we also...More

Unfortunately, when I saw this temple it was under renovations so it was not the best one that I visited. I think it will be a lot better once this is completed. No where near trains so a taxi is the easiest way to get...More

Taipei is a real delight if the weather plays along for a photographer, amateur or professional. The buildings are spectacular and the people are friendly. Most locals speak some English which made life easier for us as we speak no Chinese at all. Not the...More

If you've never been to a Chinese temple, this is a good place to see what they are all about. If you've traveled in China or other places with major Chinese temples, then there is nothing here you haven't seen before. But very clean and...More

This is a beautiful temple! It has some information signs in English. There is also a brochure about the temple in English. Quite close to the metro. Don’t miss the gorgeous temple just across the road from this.
