Apparently, based on historical information via signs and natives, Chuhuo used to be a spectacular display of flames sustained by natural flammable gas, which exudes from the crevices of the ground. However, the main attraction is now limited to a small circular area (~10m in...More

The "natural fire" in the Kenting National park is fun to see, no doubt, but there's not much else to do once you've seen it. We almost saw a pigeon get fried walking up to the fire, and that was about as exciting as it...More

Must visit but just for 2min. As first you will be surprised to see that those stones are on fire. But once you read about the site you will get to know that it is a natural gas source which is being leaked since long...More

Even though there was a sign that says no trespassing, people still went in to roast potatoes, pop corn, marshmallow and I don't know what else. There are vans at the entrance that sell the stuff. A short 15 mins trip will do, I guess.

Typically a 2min visit around this area. Tourist might go though. Not a MUST GO despite this being a tourist attraction.

Since i was in the area i decided to take a look. It's more interesting to know where the fire comes from rather than seeing it. Been watching for a while but didnt see any popcorn pop. Still especially kids seem te enjoy themselves.

I visited Chuhuo as part of a field trip with our professor, and learnt about some geology. Other than Chuhuo being a "living" example of some geomorphological feature, I cannot think of any purpose to visit this area. The wow factor is missing. P.S. visited...More
